Hi everyone, mb20lover here. I wasn't sure where to post this.

It's been a while since I was on the forums, so I just wanted to make a post saying that I'm back. However, I'll try my best to limit my time, comments, etc on here.

I won't bother tagging anyone, and I'll try to keep this as my only open thread that I have created.

I've missed everyone I've spoken to on here, and I hope to talk to some new people. I have been using my offline supports - my Psychiatrist, GP, Parent support of course, and a Social Worker. I'm in the process of finding a Psychologist but I'm having no luck.

Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hello, and also I hope I haven't upset anyone on the forums or anything like that because nothing was intentional, so I deeply apologise.

An update on me, I recently turned 21, can't do much with COVID though, it's a hard year for everyone unfortunately.

I also have a milestone, an achievement, I've been seeing my Psychiatrist for a year which is the longest I've stayed with a therapist. And I also finally have a GP I feel comfortable with. I'm on different meds that seem to be working a little but I still of course have my moments, but these meds I've been on the longest for out of any of the ones I've tried.

Other than that, please don't feel pressured to comment anyone, although it would be nice to connect with some people, old or new, but like I said that's okay. I just wanted to check in.

If you've read this and made it this far, thank you. Stay safe and take care everyone, as much as possible with the unfortunate COVID circumstances.

Thinking of all the Beyond Blue Mods & Users. I've missed everyone.

I'm sorry if I can't help at all feel free to disregard what i say if it's something you've alreayd been told

the way i use the forums is i just share my perspective and experiences and try and hear other's experiences and see how i can understand them. I can't always get it right but I'm always willing to try. If I get it wrong, then please disregard and perhaps someone else can understand a bit better. Happy to understand more if i missed something. Cheers.

There's lots of reasons. My Mum has had 3 surgeries, needs a 4th soon, because they stuffed up her surgeries and she got some infection in her leg (not contagious) from it. Amongst other things. Don't really feel that comfortable talking about it. All I meant is that it's just crap where I live, the healthcare here is awful in my town and no one cares. I know you're trying to help, some of this stuff is just triggering

I fully understand that it's triggering to talk about this stuff, not a problem at all

Thanks

Is anyone else around? Not that you did anything wrong Sleepy because you didn't, I'm just in a bit of a talkative mood which is rare for me.

I hope I didn't make you feel pushed away Sleepy, I'm terribly sorry if I did. I appreciate your help.

Hard couple of days for me.

Yesterday was the anniversary of my Grandpa's passing in 2015, can't believe it's been 6 years since he passed away & 8 years since my Nana passed away (Mum's parents, Dad's passed away before I was born). I love & miss them so much.

Also today as per my GP and Psychiatrist's instructions, no meds, then tomorrow I start my new ones at night. Ugh I'm nervous.

Tayla I am sorry for your lost and understand how hard anniversaries are for you.
It is nervous starting a new medication and hoping their isn't any bad side effects and it works for you.
Take care,
Mark
