It's like a feeling just bubbling up to the surface. It's panicky and disgusting and I dont' know what to do with it. There's no thoughts associated with it. It's a feeling. A really gross one. I called the Suicide Call Back service. I didn't find them helpful. What do you do? What helps you?

Paws, wasn't the Indian Pacific great! I remember they had a piano in the lounge car and someone would play after dinner as the desert rolled by outside the windows.. lovely! Spinifex and desert day after day, it's astounding isn't it, the vastness of this continent and how dry it is... beautiful though. xoxo

Katy, PS:

Don't worry about putting on the extra kilos, everybody has, it's a known side effect of Covid19!!!!

You have a succulent like a tarantula now? Eeeek. Do you still have the smelly plant????

You always enjoy the outdoor yoga, I hope you can get there soon, I bet you would enjoy it once you are there. I'm sorry you're feeling unmotivated.. it it partly the weather?

Sleepy, nice to see you, hope all is going OK for you...

Hugs all round xoxo

ah spinifex and red dirt remind me of my childhood up north ❤️ I do hope I get to see it again one day.

I've nearly finished the dog book - he's a cheeky character this one, even uses the F word! Yeah, just can't seem to get motivated, I find I'm better when the sun is shining and the days are warm. It got a bit nice this arvo, although windy, and I managed to go buy some paint and paint a little display shelf and Storm's ramp. Outdoor yoga hasn't started yet, I think it's next week. I much prefer it to indoors, so hopefully...

Yes, I still have the smelly plant. I think of you when I look at it, as I know you weren't very impressed by it lol. It hasn't got any buds this season, actually none of the smelly ones do. I'm currently bidding on a new plant, and half-hoping someone outbids me, as I'm feeling a little ill that all my current plants are a bit sick. They've cost me a small fortune!

Extra kilos all round, you reckon? And it's your "cake day" tomorrow 🙂 Are you planning anything? Even just a small something to mark the day? I might have a piece of cake for you - any excuse, right?

Katy xo

Hi Katy,

Actually I rather enjoyed hearing about your smelly plant, AND I remember you had a pic of it for a while... what fun to bid on a plant I hope you get it....! If you do, can we have a pic please???

All the cafes close about lunch tomorrow so I probably won't get a cake and cuppa - my harp playing friend came around today with a pressie which was nice.. birthdays are a bit of a non-event this year but it's OK... I'm hitting the Delete key on 2020 on New Year's Eve anyway - it's such a bummer of a year I think deleting it is the best thing to do... and hope for better next year!!!

Have you seen the Irish comedian on Utube about if this is the worst year ever... then next year has to be better. But if next year is worse than this year, then this year WASN'T the worst year of your life after all ...

The logic is terrifying... the thought of a year being worse than this....Eeeeeeeeeek

He goes on a bit more than that but i've forgotten it. hugs.

Katy, just checked it's called Limmy's Show and he's Scottish not Irish and it's patchy but you should watch The Laptop Sketch to the very end!

Hi Katy

You don't live in a seaside town starting with B do you, south of the big city - I was Googling around and it looked like your sort of place I think.. not sure. Sounded nice, looked nice. No plant on your profile pic yet. Thank you for your thoughts today oxoxo

Hello Katy,

That is a very strange looking plant... is it soft to touch like the lambs ear plant?... I'm curious to know what it is...

I have a succulent my mental health nurse gave me as a cutting from her garden... I don't know what it is called... it seems to be indestructible... she was right about how easy it is to propagate... just cut the stem... then stick the bit you cut off in a pot... the original will reshoot... and the cutting just takes with nothing else needing to be done. It's leaves are a pale green if you keep the water up to it & a deep plum colour if you let it dry out. I have tried to google it but there are so many plants that sort of look like it.

It is one of the few surviving pot plants I still have after over half my plants turned up their toes suddenly.

Hugs

Hi Katy, I like Paw's question - is your plant soft or prickly? It looks quite pretty. How did you have to bid for it - was that online or through someone local or through the nursery there? I've never heard of bidding for a plant.

Hi Katy,

Is it OK to spend most of a day at home?? I'm feeling totally blah today. I'm trying to write Xmas cards so I'll feel like I've done something useful at least. I think Sam is confused because he hasn't had his walk. Maybe it's the blah weather - cold grey and windy (perfect for walking Sam, I think I'm on a downer, yuk). Trying to get my old profile pic back, hope it works soon... hugs

Hi Hanna, Paws, Sleepy, everyone 🙂

My plant is an echeveria "barbillion". It's quite a pretty blue, but with stress will go pink. It's leaves are really meaty and have bumps on them called caruncles, which people either love or hate! Some (most?) echeveria are only small, but this one is the size of a dinner plate - I love it!

Yes, succulents are supposedly really easy to propagate, but you seem to be having more luck than me. I can leaf propagate, but the new plants get to the size of a fingernail and then don't seem to know what to do next! What a shame you don't know the name of yours, Paws, I think I need one!

Hanna, I use the local auction group on facebook to buy and sell a variety of things. I don't think you use facebook? Similar to Ebay but no postage required. Another good place to pick up books, too.

Well, weather report here: top of 25 with a slight breeze. What shall I do today? No clue *shrug* but maybe I should walk Storm now, as it will be too hot for her later.

Hugs
