Hello
Thanks Paws. I should celebrate, but I actually got on quite a downer about it. I spent all yesterday moping. I hate it when I get like that. I went from watching crap tv to randomly scrolling facebook all day. yuk.
Today, I've gotten up early and started reading a book before the mopes can settle in. Outside, there's this weird heavy fog I've never seen before, that has made visibility just metres. Made for a weird drive going to get my morning takeaway coffee. The moisture has settled onto everything, and I've been out taking photos of the spider webs, which normally you can't see. Fascinating. Do you get fog where you are?
Interesting also what's happening with the coronavirus situation here. We aren't really a tourist town, thank goodness. But, everywhere south of us, towns have been inundated with tourists, and the state government decided after they already let everyone leave the city, that they all had to go into lockdown. Like anyone who's gone off for a long weekend is going to want to lock themselves away! I've seen a lot of facebook threads of locals who are none too happy with the situation. I really hope there isn't any spread.
Hugs, and a scratch behind Woofa's ear, Katy

Hello Katy,
It's ok to feel down after getting your results.. sometimes our heads just work that way... the important thing is not to beat yourself up for feeling blah... did you get the lamington with that coffee?
The droplets from the morning dew or fog make spider webs magical especially when the sun breaks through & catches them sparkling like crystal jewels...
Yes I get lots of different types of fogs here... being on the side of a valley I often get fogs that fill the valley floor looking like a milky white ocean... I also get the the fogs that settle down from high covering the higher parts & leaving the valley floor clear.... then I get the ocean fogs that flow up the valley from the coast... plus the fogs that just smother everything... the fogs vary from damp mist to pea soupers that limit vision to less than a metre. I love fogs... they way they muffle the world & disperse the light... watching them flow & ebb within the valley... I do hate having to drive in fog though.
Do you not get much fog where you are?... sea fog being on the coast??
Even if you aren't a tourist town...do be careful with all the tourists passing through lass... I also hope they have caught this & there is no further spread...
Woofa says ta muchly for the ear scratch...
Hugs & pats for Miss Storm

Hi Katy,
Sorry you're feeling blah about the HD! Don't be so hard on yourself - an HD is an HD!
We had that problem with tourists coming from the city here - everyone was worried about it and wished they would all stay home in the city...
I hope you're feeling better today. What's the next thing on your Uni assigment list?
Sunny day here, I'm tired out and so is Sam - got to pay off a laybuy and I think a quiet day - we'll do a nice walk by the river. I'm feeling homesick for the coast today oh dear!
Hugs and pats to Stormy oxoxo

Hello
Just waiting for the premier's update on the covid situation in WA. Hopefully it's good news.
I still feel bah humbug today. Just is what it is I guess. Not even the marks anymore. Just feelings...
Next step with honours is to wait for the feedback to come through from the external reviewers, for the proposal, which I'll need to prepare a response to. That should come in end of this week if they're on time.
For now I've walked with my friend this morning, been reading my book - The Yield - which I'm enjoying, and I'm going to repot some pot plants. Just hate the blahs, but they come whether you want them or not, right?
Paws, I thought you might get fog where you are. It sounds really pretty where you live. I hope you've managed a bit more outdoors time, to be able to enjoy it. I'm sorry I can't help with plant advice - I have a lot of plants, but I'm really not good at getting them to thrive. I just hope they don't die mostly lol. I do have agaves that seem to do ok. Some have had babies, which I removed yesterday and will need to pot up today.
Sorry you're feeling a bit homesick today, Hanna. I'm glad it's sunny though and you've got to get out and enjoy it.
Well, no new cases in WA, says McGowan, so maybe lockdown will be over. Hopefully 🙂
Sooky little blah huggies from over here. Katy

Hi Katy - I see a lot of awesome in ur post, despite the horrible and pesky blah feelings
repoting plants and reading a book (and enjoying it!) sounds really nourishing.
I don't know if you're like me but i did find that all assessments and work at uni bought my emotions into a tizzy. It takes a toll. I'd always calculate my likelihood of passing or failing any assessment before i got it back.. I remember it draining me a lot. I hope u are staying strong and u deserve to rest and enjoy urself after ur amazig work on the proposal. Sending hugs!

Hi Katy,
Sorry you've been blah again. The Honours year sounds challenging, but you're up to that! Yes I was homesick today, and went and had a picnic lunch on a hilltop looking out over the mountains to enjoy the beautiful day... nice and peaceful! Tired now. Glad you got out with your friend walking. Go easy on yourself!!!! My music teacher says I am my harshest critic - I think the same can be said of you! Hugs.

Day 5 of the blahs... I don't feel like doing anything. I know it will pass, but for now - yuk! I've even put the book on hold as there's some triggering elements, which I can't deal with atm. I'm wondering if I try a kids book? I think I have Alice in Wonderland here.
A picnic on a hilltop sounds lovely...
Hope everyone is going ok x

Hello Katy,
Oh lass... I wish I could suggest a way out of the blahs... I'm in a similar place at the moment... struggling to even get out of bed other than to feed Woofa or take my meds... I made myself get up at 2pm today... haven't achieved anything... I started yesterday re-reading a whodunnit series... it's old style like an Agatha Christie & doesn't need a lot of thought... I have turned to childrens books over the last few years when I needed something simple to try to chase away the unwanted thoughts... I found Wind in the Willows worked well... as did Paddington Bear & also Alice to some degree. Sometimes we need a bit of whimsy in our life..
Here is a big squishy bear hug lass... oh & Woofa sends doggy kisses
