Hi Katy, I think you must live in a place with an almost perfect climate! The walk sounds lovely. Library here still not open, am hoping it might be soon...
I couldn't work out a budget for a community garden, crikey! Your social work course does sound interesting though.
About to watch Miriam what's her name's show and it has to be the same time as Insight, drat!
Good to see Storm's smiling face appearing again. You take care dear lady xoxoxo

Katy - Thanks so much for that excellent advice. What you said about the early appointment is a gem of an idea. I got up this morning and tried to see if my GP had an appointment within the next few hours as I thought maybe I could jump in the shower and just go without time to think. He didn't have any free today. Yes your right, these particular symptoms been going on for months now. I have spoken to Hanna,Paws,rt and sleepy about this and afterwards, with their help, I always feel motivated and supported to face the fear but then left to my own devices, the catastrophising and anxiety kicks in again. I will find a way. I picture doc saying "Calmseeker (lol), you have throat cancer". God I annoy myself!
So good about being able to travel to your son if you need to. Even if you don't , the 'psychological' borders have opened up for you now that you know you can.
So it sounds like the covid restrictions where you are sort of lifting at the same pace as where I live. Its still a little quiet but it always gets a bit quieter as the weather cools down anyway. I am in quite a touristy area so the difference in busyness has been very noticeable. What a gift for you seeing a dolphin, it must have felt joyous. How beautiful. I always picture WA like that, warm with sparkly waters and dolphins frolicking. Gosh this country is stunning.
I hope you are feeling good today lovely Katy girl xo

Hi Katy,
Did you watch that show with Mirian whats-her-name last night? I switched off as she just seemed to be admiring rich people who owned big houses - did it improve? I was rather disappointed in it.
Cold windy grey weather here today and i'm taking care of Mr Sam who has a cold with the sniffles and sneezes. Wish we could get warm in a patch of sun but no such thing today.
Had a wonderful conversation in the second hand bookstore today with a very well read man and the owner, we talked about various Australian writers and different towns and I realized how much I miss that kind of stimulating conversation! You must be enjoying your course when you're not doing assignments as it sounds wonderfully interesting and stimulating to talk about.
Anyway I hope you are going OK there. Pats to lovely Storm, hugs xoxoxo

Hello 🙂
Well it wasn't really the doozy of a storm that was expected, so that's good. We had a more intense one a few weeks ago. I went for a look down the beach this morning while it was stil blowing a gale, and Storm and I couldn't resist a closer look. There was no shore line, the water was coming up so high, with massive waves. We were running along the dune line and copped a wave anyway and got soaked! So, that was a fun adventure. Boy, did I laugh and laugh with glee 🙂
Aside from that I've come home and done a LOT of reading for the current assignment, and I'm tired now. "So much netflixing, under such cosy blankets" sounds just perfect 😍
Hope everyone is well xo

Hi Katy,
I was just about to send you a post after watching the storm on the news on the ABC - but you've beaten me to it! Glad to hear it didn't hit you too hard and you even had fun watching the waves!
I hope you can get all these assignments finished soon and have a much needed break.
News here that the university campus may close - apparently another university in the city is poaching students, I've wondered why it seemed so empty even before Covid19 - then I ran into staff who'd lost their jobs due to lack of students... now it's heavily in debt. A shame as it's such a lovely campus, much nicer than the city I'm sure. You're fortunate to have a regional uni near you I'd say.
I'm off to watch the ABC it's my night for Four Corners, Q&A etc etc etc.
Sam sends furry waves to Storm (what an appropriate name at the moment!) xoxoxo

Hi all,
It's been a long time since I've been here. The craziness of the world with this virus has certainly changed the way we all live and look at things. First of all I hope everyone is safe and well here. It seems the thread has been pretty quiet in my absence.
Katy, I hope things are going well for you, I have been thinking about you and reading through the old messages, it seems that it's been a pretty rocky ride for you. Love and hugs to you. My wonderful supportive friend Tayla (Tayls) has always been on my mind as well. I miss hearing from you, and hope you're well. Next time I'm up your way it would be great to catch up.
It's been a crazy world for me as well, with the Covid virus affecting us all, my methods of escape from life and the reality of it all been extremely restricted. Being confined to the four walls have truly been trying to say the least.
Been struggling a bit with Mum not in good health, and with my constant childhood struggles with my father that have extended into adult life I'm finding life a bit of a battle. Unsure where to turn next. With the virus affecting society now its been difficult to see my psychologist face to face. I ring him every now and again but miss the face to face contact.
Anyway I'll stop my rant now, and will close by saying I miss you all, especially Katy and Tayls so if anyone is still here I'll look forward to hearing from someone. Would be nice to have a reply.
Love and hugs,
Simon

Hi Simon
I've been popping in infrequently with life busy with uni at the moment. I'm sorry to hear things are not in a good place for you at the moment. Covid has certainly presented some unique challenges. I also had a psych phone appointment today, and it's just not quite the same is it? What do you think might be helpful for you at the moment? I'm happy to listen if you'd like to chat about anything? I'll be sure to pop back by and check. I don't think Tayla is on the forums any more. I haven't seen her about for some time. But you're welcome to chat here regardless.
Our childhoods can certainly follow us into adulthood. I get that. And I'm sorry to hear your Mum isn't well. I wonder if you're still working with everything going on. I feel like that may have gone by the wayside for now, is that right? Have you managed to find things to look after yourself during this time? I probably haven't done the best job of it to be honest.
Hugs. Here to listen, Katy

Hello Katy,
How are you lass? I had hoped you might be finally on your break & having some time off, but I see you are still busy at Uni. It looks like WA has been having nice weather so I hope you have been taking breaks & getting out & about with Storm in the sunshine.
Please don't feel you need to reply, I just wanted to say hello.
Hugs to you & pats to Storm
