It's been a while since I was on the forums, so I just wanted to make a post saying that I'm back. However, I'll try my best to limit my time, comments, etc on here.
I won't bother tagging anyone, and I'll try to keep this as my only open thread that I have created.
I've missed everyone I've spoken to on here, and I hope to talk to some new people. I have been using my offline supports - my Psychiatrist, GP, Parent support of course, and a Social Worker. I'm in the process of finding a Psychologist but I'm having no luck.
Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hello, and also I hope I haven't upset anyone on the forums or anything like that because nothing was intentional, so I deeply apologise.
An update on me, I recently turned 21, can't do much with COVID though, it's a hard year for everyone unfortunately.
I also have a milestone, an achievement, I've been seeing my Psychiatrist for a year which is the longest I've stayed with a therapist. And I also finally have a GP I feel comfortable with. I'm on different meds that seem to be working a little but I still of course have my moments, but these meds I've been on the longest for out of any of the ones I've tried.
Other than that, please don't feel pressured to comment anyone, although it would be nice to connect with some people, old or new, but like I said that's okay. I just wanted to check in.
If you've read this and made it this far, thank you. Stay safe and take care everyone, as much as possible with the unfortunate COVID circumstances.
Thinking of all the Beyond Blue Mods & Users. I've missed everyone.

hi Paul. no need to apologise but thanks for checking in. I'm sorry to hear about your Mum.
i've been awful actually, dealing with bullying, got someone toxic out of my life just then (that's a good thing though) amongst other things. hopefully you're a bit better than I am.

I understand you Tayla about leaving the toxic people out of our lives and you are spot on. I had acute anxiety followed by depression and part of my own therapy was to avoid overly judgmental/negative/toxic people
Just for myself the ease of access to my GP's was wonderful... I have been seeing my doc every 4-8 weeks since 1996 for support and advice with my leftover anxiety + depression. GP's have a better understand about mental health nowadays than even 10 years ago
Im sorry that you dont feel well Tayla. Only if its okay....can I ask how frequently you see a doc (or anyone) for a chat?
my kindest always
Paul

Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time and that you're judging yourself so harshly. It not nice being judged so much and we wouldn't treat a dear friend the way we treat ourselves much of the time. I hope you can see that you are just trying your best and that is enough and ok and no one deserves to be bullied either.
I guess I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I often don't have the words, but I can see that the days are a struggle for you (as they are for me) but it's good that you keep reaching out for support.
X g

Hi mb20lover
Firstly I've followed you for a while, you are compassionate and caring and very interesting to read about.
You also have a sensitive side that many of us relate to. This is mostly a safe place to talk but there will eb times when we all mess up, me included even though I'm a community champion with lots of posts. I still get told I've said something wrong and yes, I get into trouble.
That isnt good and it feels bad.
So I just wanted you to know that you arent in trouble but moderators and champs with some tact migth want to mention to you something and hope you dont take it badly. eg
you said
"Thanks Mark.
Not sure who the person is liking stuff but not replying?"
Every member here has important things to do like picking up kids, minding aged care family members, working etc we never know how busy they are. So for this reason we dont mention that they havent replied or make them feel guilty for not being on a thread lately, that is totally their choice. You just have to hope they will respond.
So keep up the good work as you have many post on here and you are valued.
