It's been a while since I was on the forums, so I just wanted to make a post saying that I'm back. However, I'll try my best to limit my time, comments, etc on here.
I won't bother tagging anyone, and I'll try to keep this as my only open thread that I have created.
I've missed everyone I've spoken to on here, and I hope to talk to some new people. I have been using my offline supports - my Psychiatrist, GP, Parent support of course, and a Social Worker. I'm in the process of finding a Psychologist but I'm having no luck.
Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hello, and also I hope I haven't upset anyone on the forums or anything like that because nothing was intentional, so I deeply apologise.
An update on me, I recently turned 21, can't do much with COVID though, it's a hard year for everyone unfortunately.
I also have a milestone, an achievement, I've been seeing my Psychiatrist for a year which is the longest I've stayed with a therapist. And I also finally have a GP I feel comfortable with. I'm on different meds that seem to be working a little but I still of course have my moments, but these meds I've been on the longest for out of any of the ones I've tried.
Other than that, please don't feel pressured to comment anyone, although it would be nice to connect with some people, old or new, but like I said that's okay. I just wanted to check in.
If you've read this and made it this far, thank you. Stay safe and take care everyone, as much as possible with the unfortunate COVID circumstances.
Thinking of all the Beyond Blue Mods & Users. I've missed everyone.

Thanks Mark. I'm glad you have a good GP.
I haven't had a problem with mine until now.

Tayla
Thanks so much for explaining what you have been doing. I know tests are very tiring and frustrating.
I had a counsellor say what did I want from counselling, I thought if I knew I wouldn’t need counselling in first place.

Hi quirky.
I agree. My Psychologist asked me that, and I thought the same thing. She said she was going to do DBT and Interpersonal Therapy with me but we haven't done anything, all she's done so far is let me talk & the positive trait thing I mentioned above. So idk if she's helping so far. It's only been 4 or so sessions over the phone though, but still.

FINALLY got an appointment with the continence people regarding my bladder tomorrow morning. I'm relieved but also anxious.
Saw my Psychiatrist yesterday morning, he said it wasn't appropriate what the GP said but that's life & I need to get over it basically. If only people understood how sensitive I am. I'm sure if anyone who saw a professional & were in pain & distress, or even a hospital, & they get told that, they would be annoyed & upset too.
I don't really feel like coming on the forums as much as I used to anymore.

Hi Tayla I am glad you got an appointment with the continence people.Uncortunately it does take time to get these appointments.
I have always been sensitive and can cry at the most smallest things.People who aren't sensitive really don't understand how it effects you mentally.I really hate that expression you need to toughen up.I don't think it's appropriate for a health professional to say that.
Take care,
Mark.

Hi all. I guess no one probably cares but I made a complaint about my GP recently after him saying "what do you want me to do about it?" when I was in pain & distress.
Now I read on their FB page that he's on annual leave & that his partner suddenly passed away last week. I feel bad now. But it did upset me a lot without sounding selfish.

Hi Tayla its good that you complained as he had no right to talk to you like that. But looks like he had other things that was worrying him more and maby we need to think what stuff is this person going through in their lives to react like that.I have done similar things and feel really bad when I found out why this person hadn't responded or responded to me in a harsh way.We are all only human.
Take care,
Mark
