Hi everyone, mb20lover here. I wasn't sure where to post this.

It's been a while since I was on the forums, so I just wanted to make a post saying that I'm back. However, I'll try my best to limit my time, comments, etc on here.

I won't bother tagging anyone, and I'll try to keep this as my only open thread that I have created.

I've missed everyone I've spoken to on here, and I hope to talk to some new people. I have been using my offline supports - my Psychiatrist, GP, Parent support of course, and a Social Worker. I'm in the process of finding a Psychologist but I'm having no luck.

Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hello, and also I hope I haven't upset anyone on the forums or anything like that because nothing was intentional, so I deeply apologise.

An update on me, I recently turned 21, can't do much with COVID though, it's a hard year for everyone unfortunately.

I also have a milestone, an achievement, I've been seeing my Psychiatrist for a year which is the longest I've stayed with a therapist. And I also finally have a GP I feel comfortable with. I'm on different meds that seem to be working a little but I still of course have my moments, but these meds I've been on the longest for out of any of the ones I've tried.

Other than that, please don't feel pressured to comment anyone, although it would be nice to connect with some people, old or new, but like I said that's okay. I just wanted to check in.

If you've read this and made it this far, thank you. Stay safe and take care everyone, as much as possible with the unfortunate COVID circumstances.

Thinking of all the Beyond Blue Mods & Users. I've missed everyone.

Hi mb20lover,
Just wanted to say how lovely all those words were that were written about you I think by your Psychiatrist. What a lovely exercise to do. Do you ever think back to those words?
Even though you are going through a tough time it shows you are valued and have qualities that are worthy.
X g

Sleepy - that was the GP I was talking about, the Director. He couldn't help. And it did upset me a bit actually.

Mark & Guest_206 - thanks.

Hi all. Sorry if I sounded a bit rude or something along those lines last time. I'm still feeling terrible, but I just wanted to give a bit of an update. PS, Sleepy, to answer your question about the GP, the other one I saw was the Director & couldn't help. I've given up on seeing my GP, or anyone at that clinic currently. My Psychiatrist is aware of what happened & I see him on Monday.

I heard from the bladder people, I filled out a 3 day bladder diary, sent it back, they said they'd call me with an appointment when they received it, still nothing. I was going to call them today but didn't. Maybe on Monday if I haven't heard anything again.

I had a Social Worker appointment on Thursday but cancelled it since I was feeling awful. I do somewhat feel bad for cancelling when people try to help but some days I'm not up to talking to anyone or doing anything, even simple things like getting out of bed.

Lately I've been really groggy, I've been sleeping too late, such as 3.30pm one day. I know this is really lazy, but I just felt so groggy & was half asleep at the time. I tried taking my meds earlier to see if that helped a bit tonight, I still feel a bit groggy.

I was told I have to stay on my meds for 12-16 weeks, but I was also told I should up the dosage & I haven't done that yet thanks to my GP & what he said, plus I can't see him until June. I guess I'll talk to my Psychiatrist about that.

I haven't been eating properly - 1 meal a day mostly, sometimes 2, & not much. I haven't felt like it & walking but I still do.

The GPs comments have left me feeling depressed & making me question why I even bother. I saw the Psychologist (well over the phone) too but we haven't really done anything so far, it's more getting to know me & whatnot. She seems ok though so far, it's only been 3 or 4 sessions I think.

Other than that I've just been trying to watch funny videos, and bought a book of one of the Aussie comedians who I like, although I don't even like reading.

I'll check in another time, might try to have an earlier night, if possible. I have insomnia but I also sleep a lot. Makes no sense to me.

Hi Tayla

really good to see you...always!

You have nothing to apologize for...there are no expectations on your or my input here 🙂

my kindest always....Paul

Hi Tayla thanks for the update and I am glad you finally saw the bladder people .I have done those bladder diaries plenty of times.

Take care,

Mark.

Thanks Paul and Mark. It's been tough. Idk what to do regarding the GP. I told my Psychiatrist about it over an email (that gets forwarded to him, I can't contact him personally) & we'll discuss it on Monday I assume. The Psychologist said it's not ok & not appropriate for him to say "what do you want me to do about it?" when I was in distress & pain. That's put me off seeing a GP let alone him all together.

Hi Tayla having a good GP is so important but can be really hard to find out times.I feel so lucky to have such a good GP that's really caring and compassionate and wish you could find someone like her.Their is some doctors at that practise that I won't see as they can be so ride and abrupt.I hope pychiatrist appointment goes well for you on Monday.

Take care,

Mark.
