Hi I think have this Cherophobia and wonder if anyone else has this.

I am scared when I am happy that something bad will happen as this is the usual case with me all out through my life.I seem to want to be unhappy and just waiting for something bad to happen. How do i overcome this fear or do I just live with it as this is the safe option.I am scared of heights so i stay away from hsights so do i just stay away from happiness?

Your thoughts are welcome.

Take care,

Mark.

No worries Mark, I hope it was helpful.

Hmm, you can pick whatever you like for a treat, up to you - a drink you like, food you like, a walk, places you want to go, it can be literally anything you choose!

Hi calmseeker i have just been thinking about a few things, its in my thread How do i stop crying.

Mark - I read your thread. You really have heaps on your plate. Its not surprising you have down days like today with all that you have to deal with. But you really are doing an amazing job.

As far as the cherophobia goes, you may think you struggle to find over all complete happiness but you do an excellent job of finding happiness in the smaller details; you seem to get joy out of riding your bike and tinkering on it for example.

What would help you right now to feel better? For me, it would really help if I could find a GP who understands my issues and could help me accordingly. Of course there are other things as well but that would be really helpful to me. What about you?

Hi calmseeker and thanks for your kind words and advice.I do enjoy riding my bike but last year when i went for a long ride the bike broke 2 hours from home and had to pay a fortune to get the bike home and that is allways in the back of my mind.I fixed it now.

I dont know what will help i have been thinking of seeing another psychologist but i dont know if that will help.I am waiting for my GP to come back from leave to talk to her about it.She should be back next week. She is the only doctor i like at that practise that i feel comfortable with.Talking to people on here helps a bit.

Take care,

Mark

Hey Mark and calmseeker.

I agree with you calmseeker. I'm sorry that you feel that way and that you're struggling, I've been there. My advice with the GP thing would be to just do some research for GPs local to you, in your suburb or that aren't too far to travel and that specialise in mental health, and pick who you choose stands out to you, that's what I did and my new GP seems nice, but I've only seen her once.

I hope you both feel better.

Tayla

Hi Tayla i like your new profile picture.I ring my doctor surgery up next week and see if she is back and when i can get an appointment.Hopefully soon.

Thanks Mark, I found it on Google, lots of nice pictures there. I like yours too, did you take it yourself?

Best of luck with the doctors, I hope she's back and that you can see her. Sounds like you're struggling with that since you can't find any doctors you like apart from her and it's a shame that she's been away for so long. I hope that she's returned from her break and that you can make an appointment with her ASAP or find one that you like if not.

Good luck, I'm thinking of you. Are you feeling any better?
