We can do it BBers, we can do self-care.
Sleepy21 pointed out research that shows self-care REALLY helps!
Please share what you do for self-care so we can get inspiration, ideas and motivation to do it too.
Best wishes
EM

My three self-care:
1) I let myself sleep in - I was just so exhausted from all my assignments on the weekend so I feel like I needed to 'recharge' my batteries. And I am so glad that I did!
2) I will paint my nails and watch some reality television
3) I will watch my new favourite show 'Single Parents' on Disney Plus!

Hi all,
sounds like I’m not the only one who needed rest today!
I rested and read my book, in between chores and loads of washing. It felt better to do this, and recharge a bit.
harvested a home grown cabbage for our dinner 🙂
started on party prep for this weekend, T’s birthday. Trying to keep it simple!
cheers

Hi all,
today I found out one of my clients had died during the nite. When I left, waves of sadness and tears flooded me, so I stopped in an old cemetery and walked around for a bit. It was really nice and peaceful.
also, I saw an argument developing with my H at dinner time, and decided I wasn’t going to feed it. I said sorry and asked for a restart. I think we were both a bit stressed from our day. It felt good becos a fight then would have made a difficult day even more difficult.
Had a lovely hot bath.

Yesterday
I was having a really hectic day at work, I told my co-worker I needed a 5 minute break and walked away for a while.
Returned home feeling exhausted so had a snooze instead of pushing myself.
Accepted stuff had been stressful at work and tried to move on from those thoughts once I had entertained them for a while.

Hi,
Dools thats so powerful. Just recognising when you're having a tough time and going easy on your self, or asking for time out. Well done!
I'm still a bit wobbly today, and funnily enough, its turned out to be a light day at work, with cancellations and stuff. The universe seems to be giving me what I need.
