today I self-cared by:

~ phoning people I love

~ napping after work

~ making nutritious foods to eat 🙂

My self-care today....

~ kept myself warm in this freezing weather,

~ prepared a nice dinner

~ had a lovely chat with my Fiance 💜

Thank you for sharing Guys. You are All and always my endless inspiration.

So, to add my three pennies:

- I attempted for the umpteenth time to bake… cookies. I know, it sounds ridiculous but as simple as it is, I can never ever get them right. Today I overbaked them but they still tatsed much better than their predecessors.

- got a nice cup of jasmine tea

- and cuddled my dog when the storm hit.

Great self care everyone!

My three self care things were:

Did my Skin care routine

Did a Yoga class

Made a nice cup of tea

Hey LTF, you know "baking" isn't all that easy.... but you DO know a baker's best friend can be their grater?
I've been known to grate the sides off of cookies, cakes and muffins lol... gotta keep lots of strategies up your sleeve lol.

Love your self-caring and am SO HAPPY you get inspiration from the forums, hugs.

My self-care today:

~ did my own thing during work hours because a program was arriving late (again) so some of my weekend will be eaten into.... I beat the system a little, did my own thing and will feel better in spending so much of my own time on work - again...

~ had YUMMY leftovers for dinner,

~ have been watching my favourite Interior Decorators on YT and got so much inspiration from watching their clips! I won't be spending any money on decorating but I CAN copy some of their design Principles and this excited me no end lol. It spurred me on to re-design my hallway, change some things up in my laundry, (we did the bathroom last week :-), then I got stuck in to the dining room and looked at my kitchen differently too....
LOTS of cleaning & tidying involved in this lol...

I'm finally feeling more secure in my surroundings to 'put down roots' and make things more beautiful.

My self-care things today:

~ went back to bed after waking early, LOVED that extra sleep 🙂

~ was open and honest with my psych friend about some stuff, esp some things my Counsellor has said... I felt validated and a lot better after the talk,

~ continued with my "pretty" house make over, it's been nice to clean up, reduce and minimalise too.

Today I ....

~ asked for help several times

~ followed my instincts about something and it turned out better than I imagined

~ made a difficult phone call for work immediately instead of ruminating for hours over it first. It was very sad, so I had a cry afterwards. I can't help caring so much for the clients I support.

~ took time out after that. Got back into scrubbing the walls and listening to POSITIVE Interior Designers talking away.

Warm shower

sitting and smelling fragrant flowers

admitting I needed a rest and knew I was not lazy.

Today's self-care:

1) I had a healthy home-made lunch (I have been eating outside a lot so this definitely made me feel better)

2) Took the time to relax, drink coffee and watch an episode of a show

3) Tonight I might be going to the movies! That is one of my favourite ways to self-care
