Meditation, Manifesting, Gratitude & The Law of Attraction

Hi everyone,

Not sure where to start so hope I can express myself clearly and maybe with others' input we can expand on this. I'm interested in people's thoughts/ experience with meditation, manifesting, gratitude & the law of attraction. I've recently started using the Smiling Mind app to meditate when going to sleep and sometimes when feeling a little anxious, like tonight. It is something i thought i could never do as my mind rarely stops, however, with persistence, I find I enjoy it. I guess i tend to have a negative mindset which I am determined to change.I always felt uneasy about thinking positive things as i thought i would jinx myself, and that whenever I made a positive comment or felt happy it would go wrong or something negative would happen. So i refrained from allowing myself to be too happy, I guess to 'protect' myself. Recently i have been feeling happier, stronger, expressing gratitude and taking note of when things have come to me when i needed them. Coincidence, or answers to what i put out to the Universe? I like to think the latter. A work colleague one day told me to manifest something i wanted, put it out to the universe , so I'm trying. Example, recently we needed to measure the floor space at reception so we could calculate how many people we could have in at one time. I needed a tape measure, which i did not have. At that moment our handyman walked into the office. Guess what he had? I am getting into the habit of practising positive thinking instead of thinking/expecting negatives. If something 'negative' does crop up, it can be dealt with, it's not the end of the world. I look for the positive in every negative situation. I am becoming more aware of being grateful for little things, things like getting a good car park at work, a warn cosy bed, a tidy house. I feel when i am expressing gratitude I am putting positive thoughts out into the universe and I notice more positives instead of focusing on negatives. Late last week we had internet issues at work and a colleague i found a little annoying. I've been feeling very drained, agitated, negative for a few days. This morning things were not running smoothly for me. A result of my negative mind perhaps? Little things became a big deal, my morning was crap. If i look back, it wasn't really an issue, i just did things in a different order which gave me more relax time this evening. The Law of Attraction, positive thoughts, positive experiences.

Hi all and welcome Golden82,

I was feeling pretty flat a week ago and noticed a few things going wrong so I've trying to raise my vibration. Today I find out if our way office will close for 6 weeks under stage 4 restrictions. Yes, I'm a little anxious but I'm leaving it in the hands of God and The Universe. I can't control it and rying to focus on a positive outcome ,which could present in many ways. I'm grateful for all the extra hours I did pre lockdown as I was able to put some money a aside which will be handy now. Whatever is meant to be will be. I am trusting in The Universe.

Hi CMF,

I've found the idea by Stephen Covey of drawing a circle on paper & writing ALL the things that are WITHIN our influence / control inside that circle and those outside our control on the outside of that circle VERY helpful over the past few decades.

At the break up of our family I did this with the kids and stuck this circle behind the toilet door for all to look at while they're seated lol.

I had to do it again for us during the 'stay at home period' for months. All 8 of us still had to work outside the home alot (being essential services) and there was little structure to our days to begin with, being called in to work for extra shifts to keep services happening. This who were at highest risk were off completely.

Our health was a primary thing we put inside our circle. Our physical AND mental health.
Our daily routine was shot but we formulated individual routines. Ofcourse supporting our elderly neighbours more was added.

I employed ALOT of people during this time and spent all my savings doing so. I imagined a flow of this energy ie money and the conduit of our bank accounts as a far reaching web connecting & supporting others as well as ourselves. My account is nearly up there again surprisingly lol because I took half pay leave to free myself up and provide jobs for others. I'm now 3d per week, so almost same pay level.

Energy comes in many forms. Our recipe thread grew in this time lol! Making wholesome nutritious foods is great for our energy levels.

I Pray The Universe responds beautifully to your new situation CMF. Sending ALL positive energy lovely lady.

You are an inspiration. We'll my office manager called. Our office will be closed unsure whether will have a couple of people on site, but regardless we will all be paid as normal for the next 6 weeks. I'm overwhelmed, actually had a little cry. I love my job and work hard. I never have and never will take for granted the generosity of the company .

Oh and I forgot to say what happens when you draw your Circle of Influence..... it WIDENS!

It's just like magic lol!

I did this enthusiastically for my career about 25y ago and I was promoted 4 times in the next 2 years.... you have to be careful what you wish for lol.

Once meditated, anxiety, worry, frustration and fear will block your thought processes, your new-looking mind-kingdom with crystal clear thinking will open the door to easy expression of what you want, be it love, health or wealth, More friends or success.

Hi Mark rhn, welcome to the forums and what a spectacular opening post!

I love what you reminded us all of.

Do you have any particular guided meditations which are your favourites?

I love the guided meditations by Dr Joe Dispenza, they really take me away quickly.
I found after a using them alot that I was easily able to access the quantum field in my mind even whilst driving lol.

Then ofcourse life got "busy" and all too often this important practice gets put to one side.

Today I really "felt it" ie the lack of a centered mind.

I know I need to meditate.

Although I had a nap and just before that I thought of what I wanted to happen and lo and behold a text was there when I woke up offering something that would remediate a specific stressor in our lives. Pretty miraculous really.

The night from then on flowed more freely.

More of Dr Joe before bedtime now lol.

Wow, just stumbled back onto this thread, and as usual, it's amazing to read everyone's stories and progress. Visualisation is something I really need to get better at for example, and that takes practice and...getting over yourself and not taking yourself or your doubts about to seriously, I think. Just enjoy the enjoyable thoughts, so to speak. Cheers everyone!

Hi Tay100!

Absolutely Visualisation is SUCH a powerful thing to be able to do. For me it's been essential in achieving my goals or more than.

I bought Shakti Gawain's book "Visualisation" about 30y ago and it was an easy read about her journey up till then with Visualisation... probably spelt with a z but there you are lol.

A few ways you can really boost your ability to visualise is to:
* create a Vision Board. Print out pics of all the things you want... and / or draw them / paint them... whatever you like. I actually put lists in my notes section and one list was of my next partner (lol!), he came into my life and was SO MUCH FAR MORE BRILLIANT than I could have ever imagined. We're engaged now which is so sweet.
* Put together a Dream Folder like a Vision Board but in a folder that you can flick through and concentrate on each page. You can add or take out any pages whenever you want.
It's also more private. 😉

Hey CMF!

What's hapnin?

Are you okay?

I felt really low one night this week and had a freaking nap lol.
When I woke up my mindset changed.

Had a horrible set of discoveries last weekend and after thinking I'd dealt with it.... kinda - well I thought I had lol... I triggered 3 x today ugh!

Tonight I'm "wobbly" - too much happening all at once.

Do you know the strangest thing that really makes my mindset change???
No laughing lol...
putting on some of the latest music my kids like (only pleasant memories with those) and cleaning my windows!
And mirrors!

For some reason I really pick up after cleaning the windows.... go figure.
No way could I clean them all in one go.
Just the ones I look through all the time.

My eldest D has begun getting into meditation again.
She found a really strange one that seems to lift her well.
I'll text her for the name.

I was happy she asked for a Dr Joe Dispenza book... she took the first one tonight.
"Evolving your brain".

That man is a miracle.
