It's like a feeling just bubbling up to the surface. It's panicky and disgusting and I dont' know what to do with it. There's no thoughts associated with it. It's a feeling. A really gross one. I called the Suicide Call Back service. I didn't find them helpful. What do you do? What helps you?

Hi Katy

It looks incredibly hot in your capital city, I hope you are not quite so warm. Enjoy the time with your son.

It must be strange having no virus and now opening up to it... Over the two years we've got used to it in a wierd way but it's tiring and anxiety provoking.. And dreary! Be a bit careful of yourself.

Enjoy your break 😊🎀🎄🎇🐾🐕🏖🎧🏄‍♀️🚣‍♀️🏊‍♀️⛹️‍♀️

Hiya

Well covid arrived earlier than expected and now we have to wear masks. It’s not mandated here unless you had visited the big city recently, which we have. I’ll have to go buy my son one though as he didn’t bring anything. I’m not looking forward to our so-called new normal, and what rubbish timing! Never mind…

We are in for a bit of a heatwave too. It doesn’t normally get quite as warm (lol, Paws) as it’s expected to be over the next few days. I’ve made Storm up some lick mats with yoghurt and blueberries and popped in the freezer, and I’m glad I bought her a cool mat to lie on as she doesn’t cope with the heat. Oh and I think her ear may be permanently puffy now? It’s only sort of half blown up this time so I think I’ll just leave it.

Are you lovely people intending to treat yourselves for Christmas? I’ll have to brave the shops for food today (eek!) though I think it will be a cold platter…

Many festive good wishes to you all 🎄♥️

Hi Katy

From what I've heard your biggest problems in WA are low vaccination rates and a lack of trained nursing and medical staff.

It must be strange just having it all happening now when we've had two years of it... It does mean you live with a kind of constant level of anxiety but you do adjust.

Happy Christmas from us here! 😊🐕🎁🎀🎉🎄

Hello Katy,

Merry Christmas lass... I hope you have a relaxing day out of the heat...

Thanks for the lovely Christmas wishes. I hope everyone managed an ok day. Quiet day here with my boy- board games and an evening walk at the beach. He went back home today and it’s been hot here. Storm managed fine but I worried about the cats. Apparently the elderly don’t cope so well with heat. Back to low 30’s tomorrow, phew!

Hugs Grandy, Paws, Hanna, and anyone else dropping by x

ps: dropped into Kmart today for some cheap shorts as I can’t fit any of my clothes over my big bum lol! Too much sitting down over semester! Ha!

Hi Katy,

Ur awesome, love Ur humour and positivity ...,

I didn't do a phd and still have that problem!!!

I have stretch marks for the first time in my life.... I kind of like them. Like how our bodies become a home for us and take us through rough times! Hope woofa and Ur other pets are happy and keeping each other company x

Sorry , wrong Pet...Storm. x

Hi Katy.

How did you cope with the hot weather over your way? How's Stormy after it all? I'm on a forum not at all connected with mh and there's a guy on it who lives in the capital city of your state and he's been telling us the temperature each day and it's sounded dreadful!

Don't worry about the weight after studying -when I piled on weight while I was at uni my doctor told me I needed the padding for my nerves! I'm sure you did too!

🙂👍🐾

Hanna, it’s generally 3 or 4 degrees cooler here than the big city (thank gosh!). My son sent me a pic of his feet in a bucket of water, as he doesn’t have aircon.

Mid 30’s here today so I’m outside reading a book under my tree. Much cooler than inside. In a nearby branch a pair of willy wagtails are building a nest. I think they’re collecting spider webs, then they wrap them around the branch. I’m enjoying watching, and they don’t seem fussed with my pets who ignore them anyway. I’ve heard you can peg pet hair on the clothesline and they’ll make use of it, so I’m going to give it a try 🙂

Padding for nerves hey? I like that!
