Hi Katy,
I guess tutors/lecturers are there to burst your bubble about your work! Yeah it's hard when you think something you've done is great and they find something they don't like/want - happened to me plenty of times!
Turned freezing here today with a cold wind and overcast, yuk. Went out to a lunch, very noisy packed place and way overpriced.. but an absolutely lovely group of women - all multicultural. Ran into a friend of a friend there, who'd have thought - but being introvert I've been exhausted every since.
Little Sam has a sore tooth, will have to get him to the vet - the meloxicam is helping with the pain thank goodness although it's for his arthritis.. it's an anti-inflammatory. I think we are in for another vet bill but I can't leave him in pain - he was bleeding last night I don't know if he has broken it or what.
All the news/current affairs is about Prince Phillip, I'm about to give up! Off to read a good book I think..
Early morning yoga sounds good - I'm just so not an early morning person... but good to hear you went and enjoyed it!
Happy studying - so glad it's not me... hugs.

Hello Katy,
I hope you are eating properly lass... making time to just relax... taking time away from the books... getting some fresh air 🦋 & sunshine 🌞... ummm yep you guessed right, I have my mother hen hat on...
I think that's wonderful you can get feedback on your submission before you have to finally hand it in... wish we could have done that at school way back when... maybe there would have been a few less "could do better" on my reports...
Did you get any of the weather from the ex cyclones? I hope you are back to sunshine now.
Hugs
Paws

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii !
Finally had time to pop in, because I have just handed in my uni work! Woohoo! Gosh that was full on - I can't even begin to imagine the thesis! Well, things didn't work out with my prac placement, so I'm no longer there and they are looking for a new one for me. I'm not sure when that will be. So, at the moment I have time to do those things you've suggested, Paws 🙂
I've been out walking with my friend today, and Stormy. The sun is shining and it was lovely. We did get a fair bit of rain over 2 days with the cyclone north of here, but it was just constant, and not bothersome.
Well, I'm going to go and buy one of those nice big pink lamingtons I like, to celebrate getting my work finished. And then I'm going to cook up a nice big pot of veggie soup. I have a recipe that I like by Jamie Oliver's wife.
And tomorrow - oh it will be wonderful to not have commitments! I'm going to do some gardening. The poor garden hasn't been looked at! Have you made any progress with yours, Paws? Did you get the lawnmower sorted out? I'm sorry I've been absent and haven't kept up.
How's things with you Hanna? The multicultural gathering that you attended sounded lovely - good on you. I understand how these things are tiring though, also. How's little Sam getting along? Did you get his tooth sorted?
Again, sorry I haven't been by. I sincerely hope everyone is going ok. I'll pop by again soon, but right now that lamington is calling! Hugs to all xo

Hi Katy,
Sorry to hear things didn't work out at your prac placement I hope they find another spot for you soon that works better for you. I hope you had that pink lamington as a treat!
Just back from physio so rather tired from being pushed and pulled.. took Sam to the vet, he's on painkillers for life now rather than a general anaesthetic - too dangerous for an older dog unless there's no alternative. Rather an overcast day here today, rainy tomorrow... Yes the lunch I went to was nice, what a pleasant group of women it was - so now i have a couple of new friends, and am meeting up with a lady at the library here I alwasy get chatting with, in the end we exchanged mobile numbers and are meeting up for a cuppa next week - we always seem to enjoy talking with each other - she is married with two stepchildren overseas, about my age, a lot of fun. Hooray.
Physio says my pain condition is chronic so I have to learn to live with it. It's improved from what it was a while back, so the exercises she has given me are helping.
Any more news on those tiny houses you looked at? How is your garden going, did you get out into it today as you hoped?
Sending hugs and warm wishes from us here oxoxoxo

Hi Hanna
So wonderful you've made some nice friends! I'm already feeling lonely now I'm at a pause with things. The weather here is divine and I wish I had someone to enjoy it with.
How old is Sam? It's difficult when our pets get elderly. My two cats are looking really quite shabby now, and I think the boy has gone a bit dotty. He's obsessed with licking the girl cat, and he's quite aggressive about it. Is the medication helping with Sam's arthritis? And poor you to be in chronic pain, but I'm glad the exercise helps. Did you keep up the swimming at all?
The tiny homes are looking great. They're up to painting the outside, and they've chosen green, which looks nice. I can't wait to see them finished.
Well I've just been fiddling around today, doing odd chores. I cooked a nice chuck steak casserole yesterday, so I'll have leftovers for dinner tonight. I'm the heaviest I've ever been though, so I might go for a skate now while the sun is still shining. Nervously anticipating the grade for my honours proposal, hopefully it will be in next week! eeek
Hope you, and anyone reading, are going ok. Best, Katy x

Hello Katy,
Do you have a set recipe for your casserole or do you just use whatever is too hand? I think casseroles are always nicer the next day... now you've got me wanting some...
Oh your poor puddy cats... I don't know which one to feel sorrier for the old boy or the poor girl who is being licked... when you say aggressive... is he cranky with her or with you if you try to rescue her from him?
Council here have just approved a tiny house development on the coast... the locals there had put in a lot of objections primarily about it's location and size & now are muttering about legal action to stop it... I can see their point as it is right beside a protected wetland, plus it will be used like a caravan park... not for low cost housing which is needed all over this shire.
Enjoy your free time this week... will keep fingers & paws crossed for your proposal
Hugs

Hi Katy,
Sorry to hear you're a bit lonely. You might be a bit tired after all the study too. I hope you got out a bit, and the casserole sounds good!
Sam will be ten in July. He's very poorly today as he wouldn't eat enough dinner yesterday to get the medication down for his tooth pain, so today with no pain relief he is a mess poor guy and really suffering. I am meant to take him to another town to his groomer tomorrow, but am worried I might be taking him to the vet instead.. it's hard when he has tooth pain but has to eat to get the pain medication into him - with tooth pain he doesn't want to eat. I got a bite on my hand this morning when I tried to get the med into him with a synringe.
I'm a bit worried about him so I can't stay on long... hope the Hons thesis goes OK. I think I used to feel a bit blah after I had finished a heap of uni work - I think fatigue does play a part... plus maybe you've been so focused and now you don't quite know what to do with yourself - I remember that sort of feeling.
Sam has been to ill to do anything all day so I'm going off to comfort him as best i can. hugs.

Hello
You're right, Paws, the casserole was better the next day. No recipe, just whatever I have on hand. I might cook up a curry tomorrow. No money today, so lucky I still have leftovers.
When I say the boy cat is aggressive in his licking, I mean it's really rough licking. Not gentle cleaning type licking. He's also been trying to hump the girl more often than usual - even though he was fixed up a million moons ago. Just acting unusually.
Hanna, I wouldn't have thought ten was very old to undergo anaesthesia. Is it because Sam has health issues? Poor little guy. I wonder if there's a topical pain relief like Bonjela for humans, that you could use? Although if he's bitten you, I guess that won't work either. Oh dear. Let us know how you get on.
And yes, I think you're right. I've been busy, and also been around people on prac, and talking to the other hons students, and now everything has stopped and I'm a bit lost. I have a psych appointment today, so that's good. It is nice to have some down time, just a bit lonely. Maybe I'll dive into a book 🙂
Paws, no comment on the shire's decision - people's priorities often confuse me.
Hugs all round, Katy x

Hi Katy
I hope ur results come back great and that u are enjoying ur course and the socialising with the students
It's nice to have that peer support with the others going through the course, do u guys discuss ur thesises together?
Loved to read u were going for skates as well, so cool!
Inspiring me to be more phsyically active. It's getting cold here at the moment and the winter blues are settling in, but I just bought a sweater online and will probably need to get a coat soon as well, and then feel more cosy to walk around
I'm guessing where you are it's stll quite warm? Hope ur keeping well, sending hugs.

Hi Sleepy,
It's getting cold where I am too - time to get the winter woollies out for sure! I need a new coat too but they're so expensive... little Sam has more winter coats than I do! I hope you are starting to feel a bit better in yourself. Do you have a good heater in your unit? hugs.
