Dear Barry~
I live in a colder climate and find a heatpump (which I think is the same thing as a reverse cycle aircon) has been an absolute blessing. While I use a wood heater during the day if I can reach the wood I find the pump comes into its own at night, helps with comfort (less aches), breathing - and getting up in the morning.
Pretty ordinary to have to go through the whole process again for the operation, more delay.
The laptop is a bit of a problem too, however if you just want to post, do email, bills and the like it might be as cheap to get a new one as getting yours fixed (under $300) - depends what's wrong inside I guess.
I hope the motor stays available for you,it will be a bit of a beast when finished.
Hope dog is good -please pat

Dear Barry~
Like Paul I"m really pleased you have the correct pension at last, why it takes so long for something that is plain common sense is an ongoing mystery. Hopefully all the meds you are prescribed will be on the PBS and your costs will be minimal for a while.
Did you get a chance to get the reverse cycle a/c? If you are still thinking about it I can really recommend having one. My night times have been better both for pain and breathing since I had one, really great.
I see your area has had a fair amount of snow, don't envy you.
Pat for the dog (if awake) please

Hey Barry
Great to see you back on the air
Im sorry that you feel so dark. You have been here for ages and tried so very hard too, not to mention what you have accomplished in your life
Can I ask why your docs want to move you away from your home? (only if thats okay of course) Did you get that air conditioning unit you wanted?
Sorry about the questions Barry....Ive been off line for 3 days with brain fade
My Best as always Barry

Dear Barry~
It's nice to hear from you, and I too can see your doctor's point. Actually when you said the size of that heat pump it got me thinking. As far as I know the place he suggested may have milder climate, would that be correct?
I always find my spine is better in warmer weather, every bit is a help
