Dear Barry~
Been on other things and only just now back to you, went to another state and ended up having to go though airport security in a wheelchair -ugh, Only kept up some of my posts due to that and work.
You were talking about doing up that Lancer, putting a larger motor in - what sort of aspiration? I don't know what they allowed in rallies back in the early seventies, just about anything goes I guess. with a 2,600 motor in it how are you going to stop the thing? Didn't they have drum brakes on the back?
I'd have thought the new engine might have changed weight in the front end too, was there much difference? Do you have one lined up by the way?
I'm sorry to hear the hips are playing up.
Pat for the dog (now or later depending if it's busy)

Hi Barry
I must be a chicken. Is flying inverted a feel good adrenaline feeling? I feel dizzy even thinking about it
Great news on your achievement with the authority you have been chasing so very hard too Baz
Pat for Titan please 🙂
My Best for you. Paul

Dear Barry~
Side-draft Webbers sounds a good choice for normal aspiration. I remember umpteen years ago putting triple side-draft Webbers on a Holden 192 red motor in my HR Premier wagon. I also had a 4-speed Opel gearbox and limited slip diff. Was very smooth to drive until I got a non-street cam. Had a sub-frame (forget from what) with discs on it.
The only trouble with the webbers were they gave you a choice, carburetors or a battery. I forget where I put the battery now, I know it was a nuisance.
I think that was back in the days when you put a little plastic gearbox on the speedo cable to change miles to kilometers.
Don't know anything about aircraft (except the more engines the better). Used to get rides in a De Haviland Beaver.
Hope the bronchitis lets up soon - not good weather for it.
Give a pat to the dog please

The week has started off a mess, was meant to go to Burnie for an operation and the transport was 40 min early, by the time I woke and got ready it was 40 min later, the correct pickup time. So I went back to bed as the chronic pain was overwhelming, that was after taking PRN painkillers.
Now I try to use my laptop and the charger wont work, it just keeps going on, never getting better.

Dear Barry~
That's a bit ordinary. Considering the distance to be traveled waiting a few minutes, particularly when early would have been very much the right thing to do.
So now I suppose you have to set it all up again. Do you mind if I ask if it was a serious operation? Will it help the pain at all?
Did you end up getting an electric blanket? I used one for my back for years, now instead I use an overlay on the mattress made of foam that looks like egg-cartons. It is very soft, and a surprise it's warm, traps body heat just about straight away.
Did you end up getting that Astron engine?
I know you can get universal chargers for laptops, but don't know if there would be a place that sells them near you.

Hey Baz
Thats not good. I dont envy your pain though...ewww..
did you get that electric blanket? I havent had one for 40 years but I miss it.
At the risk of asking a dumb question Baz....do electric blankets omit any electro magnetic radiation?
I have been using cell phones for decades so Im not overly concerned...just a question
Hows Titan?

I have to get a new referral now. It is for an in grown toe nail resection.
It will marginally help with the pain.
I am thinking of getting a reverse cycle air con, there is a no interest scheme down here for them, i didn't get the blanket due to radiation, whether it does or not isn't part of it, i just don't want the risk when there are other ways.
I have't got the motor yet due to being tight on money
The Laptop is a problem inside the laptop.
