It's been 2 years now that i have been seeing doctors near weekly and still my mind is clouded with the question "Why?" Why go on, why bother, life is just too hard, i keep thinking of how to end it, the anti depressants i just came off had me curled up in bed 20 hours a day grinding my teeth and petrified to got out, even now I am off them, i feel it's all pointless.

yes, the electric blanket helps when it's real cold too

Hello Barry

Croix mentioned a heat pump which is spot on as in Scandinavia as they wouldnt know what a 'split system' was

Many Australians still think a split system is an 'air conditioner' as in cooling only.....and it isnt. A split system (heat pump) provides economical heating close to the cost of natural gas ducted....especially after the steep increases in the cost of natural gas.

Anyway..you are more tech savvy than I am Baz. I hope you are doing reasonably okay

my psychiatrist changed my meds and now that I can we opened the toughest box of all, working for a civilian body in Kuwait / Iraq for 12 months, I have lost 2 inches of my waist/25kg in 2 months, not the result we were aiming for.

Thanks to everyone who has been in and said Hi

Dear Barry~

That's amazing, I'm glad you popped in and said Hi. Working overseas is going to be a whole fresh set of problems, hopefully the warm weather will help (as I guess will the weight loss)

Incredible what a change in meds can do, sometimes it can seem so hopeless.

Please let us know how you get on

Hey Baz

You have been online for a long time now and its always great to see you!

Do you have your pilots license?

It looks like a Cessna 182 that you are leaning against in your pic 🙂

My kind thoughts as always

Well I feel the poison that these tablets we're is nearly out of my system, it's taken two weeks.

I feel I lack the ability to love or have a relationship and this is disturbing. I feel void. There is a girl I am talking to but this is a worry if I can't love, just cold heart

Dear Barry~

While I don't know you of course I can say that when I've had depression take hold I've not felt love, or even if I was capable of it - as you say cold. I'd wonder and not really understand the way I felt was not me, or even that in the past I had loved. As things got better I found that love was still inside me and the people I'd loved before resumed their place in my affections.

I'd not be in the least surprised if you had something of the same sort. If there was nothing inside you then I doubt you would be worrying about this and would simply disregard any effect on her feelings.

I only got my student pilot, that's a decathalon, they can fly inverted, pilot sits in rear and you land on nose wheels, I learnt in a Cessna 150 Aerobat, with power lines at each end of the runway, now what haven't I done that's made this mess

Hey Barry

Even getting your student pilot's license is great. I get nervous climbing up a ladder...seriously!

Can I ask if you have ever had a fear of heights at all? Obviously you didnt being a pilot in training

Who made the 'Decathalon' ? As in which company Baz?

My best always 🙂

Paul
