Hi everyone, I'm back.

Hi everyone, mb20lover here. I wasn't sure where to post this.

It's been a while since I was on the forums, so I just wanted to make a post saying that I'm back. However, I'll try my best to limit my time, comments, etc on here.

I won't bother tagging anyone, and I'll try to keep this as my only open thread that I have created.

I've missed everyone I've spoken to on here, and I hope to talk to some new people. I have been using my offline supports - my Psychiatrist, GP, Parent support of course, and a Social Worker. I'm in the process of finding a Psychologist but I'm having no luck.

Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hello, and also I hope I haven't upset anyone on the forums or anything like that because nothing was intentional, so I deeply apologise.

An update on me, I recently turned 21, can't do much with COVID though, it's a hard year for everyone unfortunately.

I also have a milestone, an achievement, I've been seeing my Psychiatrist for a year which is the longest I've stayed with a therapist. And I also finally have a GP I feel comfortable with. I'm on different meds that seem to be working a little but I still of course have my moments, but these meds I've been on the longest for out of any of the ones I've tried.

Other than that, please don't feel pressured to comment anyone, although it would be nice to connect with some people, old or new, but like I said that's okay. I just wanted to check in.

If you've read this and made it this far, thank you. Stay safe and take care everyone, as much as possible with the unfortunate COVID circumstances.

Thinking of all the Beyond Blue Mods & Users. I've missed everyone.

Hi mb20lover,

I'm new to the forums here, but it's great to see that you've come back here from time to time. Please do, by all means. Just checking in to see if you're ok. So sorry to hear about all these health issues you are having. Sounds like the medications are causing a few side effects. They shouldn't be doing that. I really hope you're ok. We're always here. Don't do anything to yourself, please.

I'm so sorry for what you are going through.  I know I've had a few annoying side effects in the past. I'm definitely wanting to get back on the medication though. It's not your fault, please don't feel like anything is your fault or that you're stupid or anything because you're not.

You deserve a big hug for being so strong. Hope you're ok.

Thanks I guess Cee123. You too.

Frustrated for the following reasons:

- Got my GP appointment cancelled. I found other appointments earlier but they soon got booked out, I couldn't book them even when I tried to. He never told me he was going away, normally he does, as does my Psychiatrist (although my Psychiatrist only goes away over Christmas & New Years because he tells me). I know they have a right to go away on holidays, things come up, whatever, but I was told to see him in 2 weeks after last time which I did because I started new meds so he can monitor it, and that happens. It's not the 1st time it's happened. No explanation given either. I'm getting annoyed. My Psychiatrist won't be happy when I tell him because he says I'm still meant to see my GP. So I can't see my GP until April.

- I still haven't heard a thing from the Continence people about the issues with my bladder. My GP did a referral, it's THEIR job to contact me. I looked and I can't find a fax, email, phone number, nothing at all for them. Like wth? How hard is it to their job and contact someone? Ugh this town sucks, everyone has a care free attitude. Like I'm just meant to suffer.

Hi Tayla I am sorry that you can't get in to see your GP as he is going on holidays. It is bad timing with you starting new medication and need it monitored .I to seem to wait ages for people to contact me and last time they gave me three days notice before surgery. They will adventurally contact you but the anxiety and the pain and discomfort you experience while waiting doesn't improve.I hope they contact you soon.
Take care,
Mark.

Yeah it's frustrating. No point seeing another GP because a lot of them don't deal with mental health let alone antidepressants and just say speak to him anyway (I would if I could wouldn't I?). The one I saw last time was useless, but I guess he's more of an older people's doctor (50+). He wasn't really that nice either in my opinion. I told him I saw him because he's my GPs "buddy doctor" as they call it meaning when my doctor's away, his patients see this guy.

I swear nobody cares in this town.

hi Tayla you have every right to be upset

especially when u need him re the medications

Hi Tayla and sleepy,I don't have a doctor in this town. The nearest one is two towns away and their is only one doctor there I like seeing as some of the others are really hopeless and rude.I am glad mine has come back from her extended maternity leave.Tayla I would contact a GP if you were having bad side effects from the medication. They always want to keep an eye on you when you start a new medication. Some I haven't been able tolerate at all and had to stop imediately.
Take care,
Mark.

Hi Sleepy and Mark.

Yeah I go a couple of towns away to see my Doctor too but it's the worst experience I've ever had in my actual town.

The only side effects I've noticed so far is I feel like I've never slept when I wake up, I don't actually feel drowsy when I take them though which is odd.

I tried to see another GP who deals with mental health when mine's away but he doesn't take new patients even if it's just for 1 session although I'm an existing patient at the clinic itself.

Lol first my GP cancels & I can't see him until April, now the Psychologist tomorrow who I've only seen once. If it happens again with the Psychologist I'll find another one.

My Psychiatrist won't be happy, he's the only genuine one, he never cancels. He might extend it a day late or earlier that same day but that's all, he also frees his calendar if I need something. Seems to be so common for people to cancel my appointments.

Can't see the social worker until April sometime either because she's also away.

Hi tayla i don't want to upset or triggre but just letting you know it is possible to get in to see doctors who officially don't see new patients.
I have done so recently. If you are insistent etc. I know it's hard because you take the knock backs hard but if u try again you may be surprised.
