It's been a while since I was on the forums, so I just wanted to make a post saying that I'm back. However, I'll try my best to limit my time, comments, etc on here.
I won't bother tagging anyone, and I'll try to keep this as my only open thread that I have created.
I've missed everyone I've spoken to on here, and I hope to talk to some new people. I have been using my offline supports - my Psychiatrist, GP, Parent support of course, and a Social Worker. I'm in the process of finding a Psychologist but I'm having no luck.
Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hello, and also I hope I haven't upset anyone on the forums or anything like that because nothing was intentional, so I deeply apologise.
An update on me, I recently turned 21, can't do much with COVID though, it's a hard year for everyone unfortunately.
I also have a milestone, an achievement, I've been seeing my Psychiatrist for a year which is the longest I've stayed with a therapist. And I also finally have a GP I feel comfortable with. I'm on different meds that seem to be working a little but I still of course have my moments, but these meds I've been on the longest for out of any of the ones I've tried.
Other than that, please don't feel pressured to comment anyone, although it would be nice to connect with some people, old or new, but like I said that's okay. I just wanted to check in.
If you've read this and made it this far, thank you. Stay safe and take care everyone, as much as possible with the unfortunate COVID circumstances.
Thinking of all the Beyond Blue Mods & Users. I've missed everyone.

Hey Mark. Yes I should, she was so rude.
Good news, we can see my Mum today, it's 2 vistors now, used to be 1. They told my Dad that they can take the tubes out & let her breathe on a ventilator & she's been texting Dad so she seems OK, I'm glad. Must've been in a Coma.
We can see her after 2pm, I'll keep you all updated. I'm sorry you had a bad experience too and sorry for your loss.
Big hugs back.

Hi everyone, just an update on my Mum. She's doing ok, still a bit out of it but better than she was. The noises she was making when she was breathing (hard to explain, like gasping for air kind of thing but really loud) have stopped. She was in an induced coma and they woke her up today, took the breathing and feeding tubes out, so she's just on oxygen and when she eats and when we visit, she can have that off for 30 mins at a time with the tube up her nose. She has a lot of wires & tubes on her still. She's struggling to talk so her voice is very raspy. She seemed sad and confused & looked at me like she was going to cry & like she was trying to say she was sorry. I have seen her in a coma before for about a week years ago and no one told us. She had a collapsed lung and really low sodium but we don't know what caused any of that. She should be in there a week or so they said but it depends on her breathing etc. I'm glad she's awake and can sort of talk to us.
Thanks for your concern everyone with that and other stuff I've written here, it means a lot and I know you're all dealing with stuff yourselves. I appreciate it.

Hey Tayla
That must have been so scary to experience. I'm really glad you've got to see your mum, and she's doing ok. She's probably worried that she's worried you too. How you managing now? You doing ok?

Hi all.
Katy - yes it was, thank you for checking in also. I'm struggling but I'll be OK. My Dad has to go to somewhere which is 3 hours away on Monday, so I'll be home alone. He's going to try and come home the same night because I'll start having anxiety etc. They did that when Mum had to go down there too, and I was OK, and they came home that same day. I hope I'll be OK.
Mark - I'm sorry, I have insomnia so I understand. If you want to talk, feel free, I don't mind if it's on my thread. I'm here. And aw how cute, my Dog has been sleeping in his bed with me, normally he sleeps with my Mum

Hi again, I've been meaning to say and ask this but I keep forgetting, sorry everyone here.
Ok so a few weeks ago when I last saw my GP, as I keep mentioning, him and my Psychiatrist nag me every single time I visit them asking if I have a Psychologist yet, while I understand they're trying to help, I have tried to be polite and say I'm stressed and have other things on my mind (especially lately with my Mum now which I'll tell them), and I find it to be pressuring me and forceful. But they don't seem to listen & understand my POV.
Anyway, a few weeks ago when I saw him, he said, and I quote, which I found very rude & exaggerating - "if you don't see a Psychologist at any point, your life will take a turn for the worst." I found that offensive and over the top. If any of you had that said to you, would you be offended? I was.
So my question is, what should I do and say? I haven't told my Psychiatrist this yet because I keep forgetting but my Parents know & my Dad said it was offensive too. When he said it, I just said to him "I feel like it already has, and I find that offensive." I don't stop to think.

Hi Tayla,
I don't find it so offensive that he said that on second thought.
I think it's his way to make you get help, which he thinks is urgent. I think u need to tell him what you're telling us here - so he can understand how it affects you - and maybe he'll phrase it differently but I don't think he's trying to hurt you persnally.
