Hi Paul,

Thank you for all your advice, I really appreciate it and will try to take some of it on board!

I had a really really hard week last week, still convinced I was the "s" word. I woke up with a fright after thinking I could hear things, earlier that night while sleepy the same thing happened. I explained this to my pyscologist and they said it was my Ocd, the gp too! So they all can't possibly be wrong!

I saw a different gp and we are trialling a different med, but in the end its up to me!

Thank you for listening!

Hey CI and Skye

I hope you are doing okay CI with the Roller Coaster ride being Depression...Well done too for your success in getting through your sons first day of High School...Nice one CI 🙂

Hey Skye

sorry about your week being difficult last week...ugh! You are doing really well working with your GP and getting the meds organised!

Just my humble opinion here Skye....the OCD is just another leaf off that anxiety tree....If you did have 'S' you would not be processing and articulating your thoughts as well as you do on here

Be Gentle to Yourself

Hey Ci,

I'm so sorry for hijacking your post! It has been rather rude and unthinking of me! I truley hope you are doing ok! How is your son going at high school? My daughter is loving 2nd grade!

How are things with you? Big hugs because I care and am ever appreciative of your advice!

Paul, thank you for your support! And you are right, I'm coming to realise it's my Ocd !

Hugs to you both

Hi blondguy  thanks doing ok came on here today feeling bit down but I know it will pass just bit overwhelmed with everything I'm hoping to achieve this year not sure if bitten off more than I can chew!

Hi skye don't be silly my post was just me venting it's all good.

My son is loving it so good to see him he's really growing into a little man! Glad your daughter enjoys 2nd grade do you have any other kids?

Is your ocd a new diagnosis or something you have had for long time. I also have ocd but only newly diagnosed it can be so confusing the symptoms that come with it. So hard to switch off those horrible thoughts and anxieties I hope your doing ok today.

Hi Ci,

sorry you are feeling a little overwhelmed today, sometimes it's hard hey! I find it easier to think of one task at a time, rather than the whole lot a once!

i have a 7 yo and a 19 month old!

Reasonably new with the Ocd diagnosis previous it was GAD! But I'm glad of the diagnosis, so basically a variation of anxiety is how I think of it!

We can beat this togeather!

I found it helpful to get my diagnosis was like a light coming for me could see why I was feeling and doing things I was doing. Actually helped my anxiety cause wasn't so scared of what was happening.

Definitely trying to think of one thing at a time I right lists a lot so I don't feel like I have to remember.

This year I've pushed myself got a new therapy starting once a week as well as going to uni to study for first time I'm 34 so been out school for a while. Still have work and 3 crazy kids to juggle one at high school  one in primary and one in kinda. What have I put myself in for!

We are similar in more ways than one Ci, I too am 34 and the obvious have Ocd.

I think I knew for a bit I might have it. It started as bad health anxiety, I worried about everything, ms, lupus, bowel cancer, melanoma, and finally scizophrenia. I worried my kids had autism, cancer ect. I also worried our house had killer mould and I worried about sids! You name it I obsessed about it!

So initially I was diagnosed with GAD.

Then about 12 months ago I got intrusive thoughts too.

After much panic and anxiety I asked my psycologist, do I have Ocd, she said I did.

Last time I went with a list of all these symptoms I thought I had, she could explain everyone with Ocd. Part of me is still hanging onto the scizophrenia thing even though I have been told by the mental health team, my psycologist, my GP I simply don't have it, I have OCD. Deep down I think I know this but the Ocd is a hard thing to control! I'll get there though and I trust the proffesionals!

i think you are very courageous to take on as much as you have. And my heart is with you Ci! I hope soon I can be as brave as you!

Hey CI and Skye

CI....Without being 'plastic' congratulations on your new therapy and your decision to go to uni 🙂 You have 3 crazy kids...I havent smiled so much in hours CI. AND you still work and juggle all that? oh my lord! You are tough..I admire and envy your strength CI...wow...

Skye.....I am very happy that you have seen that OCD is just a small leaf that falls from the anxiety tree...Nice work Skye. I am luckier than you because it does take a little time to 'get your head around' the jargon speak and realise its plain old anxiety....I think you have done very well this week Skye

Woof! (Paul)

Here if you need me...take care guys and be gentle to yourselves...

Hi Paul,

thank you for your praise! Today I'm undeserving of it! Back to the same old!

But I hope you are doing well!
