Hello,

I thought I would start this thread, about our pets.

I have read in the forums a lot of us has a pet or pets of some kind.

Be it a dog, cat, bird, rabbit, guinie pig, tortoise, snake, lizard etc: they bring joy to our lives, they are there for us giving us unconditional love.

I thought a it would be nice if we could share our pets antics, or if you've seen other animals, doing things that have made you laugh.

They can be funny, loving, outrageous, anything that your pet does or does not do that puts a smile on your face and might put a smile on someone's face that is struggling.

Please keep the stories light hearted and happy,

We all love our pets, let's let others enjoy them as well..

I will go first to get it up and running.

I have two little dogs, Maltese x Yorkshire x Aussie Terriers, I have Mum (4 years old) and Daughter (2years old).

My dogs have the run of the house, my back screen door after many attempts and lots of failures I put a doggie dog into it. I love theses two they are my fur family.

My story is about another dog I had many years ago, I called him boof he was a Belgium Shepard, I was sitting at my kitchen table one day just looking out my back door (creedance). Boof was just relaxing in the shade with my young son. It was a hot day and I thought I might take my young son into the pool. I was about to go outside when all of a sudden a cat ran across our yard, well Boof just took off after the cat yep my young son took off after Boof, then Boof it looked like his brakes stopped working, he was chasing the cat then I saw him slide (son still chasing him). he couldnt stop, he slid into the swimming pool with such force he bent the tin frame nearly flat to the inside of the pool, well a waterfall began, Boof was on the other side of the pool he crashed straight through it, my son ended up slipping on the water skidded to the other end of the pool, crashing and landing on Boofy scream of laughter was coming from my son, absolutely soaked to the skin covered in mud, Boof was trying to get up, slipping all over the place from the mud as well I think he was seeing stars from his hard hit, he couldn't get up. I couldn't stop laughing at the pair of them. They looked so funny covered in mud, the pool was later repaired. Son and dog was hosed off so it all ended well

Do you have a pet story to tell?

Kind thoughts

Grandy.

Hi grandy.

Thankyou. Aleu came from a small inuit tribe in nunavut canada where mainly caribou but wolves and polarbears also are unfortunately there way of living. He is treated with utmost respect.

Hi Lynne

Thank you for sharing about Aleu. You certainly know a lot about animals and Canada. Do you read a lot? I note from another post this is your spirit animal which is really cool.

Jo 😊

Not a funny story just cute. Yesterday while walking jesse we walked past a parked car with an older looking kitten in a harness sitting on owners lap looking out the window. It was very happy confident and chilled. I tried to walk my rabbit once on a harness to local shop, lets just say that did not go as planned.

Cracking up laughing here...can just imagine that look ! When my dog asks for a treat with twinkle in his eyes and I say no have the bikkies, the twinkle disappears into a "please tell me you are not serious mummy ?"

Lol

Hello Everyone....

My two dogs are my shadows..no matter were I go they follow me..but the other day was incredible they just wouldn’t leave me alone...

After my morning coffee I sat on the lounge and my two fur babies kept annoying me by wanting to sit on my lap and give me kisses continuously..I obliged them petting them..but it wasn’t enough for them...

I was hanging out the clothes with one dog on each of my legs jumping up and scratching me a little..I was saying to leave me alone..it was like talking to a couple of brick walls...😂

After the washing I decided to pull out a few bindies..I sit on a milk crate to do that...yes the dogs kept jumping into my lap...I had to contend with pesky flies around my face, legs and arms ..as well as my two furs wanting to jump all over me..

I was beginning to get annoyed with them and told them to sit and stay.which they know how to...They did for a few seconds and again started smothering me with kisses...What is going on with them today....

This kept up the entire day...not leaving me alone..I was tired and went to lay down, they were jumping all over over me..squashing my stomach, my neck and even standing on my hair...ouchy....I love my furs so much but needed time to sleep...

I turned on my side and my furs were whinging and trying to move the sheet off me....I took hold of both one in each arm to pat them..They kept escaping my hold and kept whinging and trying to get under the sheet..

I decided that sleeping won’t work today..I got up and was straightening out my clothes when I felt something in my pocket...

Oh no..I had 2 schmakos in their...😂I had put them in my pocket earlier that morning to give them when I had my morning tea....as I usually do....I totally forgot about giving it to them...Poor fur buddies really had to work hard for their little treat...after they ate their treat..and me giving them heaps of I’m sorry pats, they curled up into their beds and fell asleep...I slowly tippy toed outside for a quiet cuppa tea..and some me time..

I have a story about a cat. He laid on my front doormat. He twisted and turned, all in concern, he heard my footsteps and out freight, his ears peaked at my sight! He leaned up towards the sky and shined the green in his eye.

In his stance, he danced and danced and like the menace he is, he pooped. He took a long dump because I scared him. The worst part is that it was- you know what, we won't go there. The point is...

Don't sneak up on cats!

Hello Everyone...🤗.

I thought I would give my two fur babies a shave..I have never shaved them before, the amount of hair loss over my home meant I needed to do it...

I done Kya..(the mum) first on Monday..She took it well..and had a lovely play after...Today I done Ebony..(daughter)..Oh my..After she was finished, she went ballistic, running around, jumping all over the lounges, on the top then onto the rug in my lounge room, rubbing her nose all over the place, turning upside and rubbing her back on the carpet..up again and all over my lounges again...Unbelievable lightening fast..😂😂..

After she settled down, I decided to finish off the job and give them both a bubble bath, They love eating the bubbles and shaking themselves..I think I got more wetter then they did...All washed and towel dried, they both started running and jumping onto everything, then one of them grabbed a toy and I had little elephants chasing each other in every room, Ebony toy in her mouth went flying under the dining room table, and out the other end..while Kya not long behind her went slipping and sliding like ice skating on her feet and somehow ended up sliding along the floor on her back...Ebony didn’t care..she looked at Kya, gave a little playful growl...and took off into the lounge room again, into her bed, then Kya’s bed...and onto the lounge..puffing and panting...They managed to turn my house upside down in a matter of minutes.😂..

I think they like there new fur style..😂😂..I must admit..it really got me laughing...

My beautiful fur family are now both asleep, curled up in their fluffy beds..looking so cute and innocent...Love them both so much....

Feel free to share your pet stories..your story may give someone reading here a little light to help them through their day/night..

Caring thoughts, with my love and hugs..🤗💜..

Kya and Ebony gives everyone some doggie kisses..

Whenever my girlfriend and I hug and spin around in a circle, her family's shar pei dog spins around in circles and then jumps up and tries to nibble on my leg and "play". Always have to give her long cuddles afterwards. Super cute.

Hello everyone...

I was sitting on my veranda a few days ago watching the cows grazing very mindfully across the road from mine...They were in a group/herd some sitting, some munching on the grass, some were just staring at me..

Then their was these other two running up towards the herd that was all settled down and eating, laying peacefully..Well didn’t the herd scatter fast..they all went in different directions...Such a huge animal yet they can move so quickly..,

Anyhow..the 2 that came running along were touching heads together..then one of them was scrapping his foot on the ground making a lot of dust..then they were having a duel...They just were touching their heads together, scrapping their hooves along the ground again,,making unwanted dust..and pushing each other..then seperate only to do the same pushing each other...this went on for around 10 minutes or so...Bull fight?..

The other cows that scattered were now eating, some was watching the fight..some were laying down again...they didn’t really take any notice...Then I heard a loud MOOO...MOOOO. then slowly most of the cows got up and started to go to the MOOOing cow..eventually they all started walking towards ther MOOO in a single line..strange how they do that..The fighting 2 were the last to leave...but they also just followed the rest of the cows....

We would love it if you shared your pet or animal stories here...Your story could make someone smile...and help their day a little bit more to be a little happier..
