Hello,

I thought I would start this thread, about our pets.

I have read in the forums a lot of us has a pet or pets of some kind.

Be it a dog, cat, bird, rabbit, guinie pig, tortoise, snake, lizard etc: they bring joy to our lives, they are there for us giving us unconditional love.

I thought a it would be nice if we could share our pets antics, or if you've seen other animals, doing things that have made you laugh.

They can be funny, loving, outrageous, anything that your pet does or does not do that puts a smile on your face and might put a smile on someone's face that is struggling.

Please keep the stories light hearted and happy,

We all love our pets, let's let others enjoy them as well..

I will go first to get it up and running.

I have two little dogs, Maltese x Yorkshire x Aussie Terriers, I have Mum (4 years old) and Daughter (2years old).

My dogs have the run of the house, my back screen door after many attempts and lots of failures I put a doggie dog into it. I love theses two they are my fur family.

My story is about another dog I had many years ago, I called him boof he was a Belgium Shepard, I was sitting at my kitchen table one day just looking out my back door (creedance). Boof was just relaxing in the shade with my young son. It was a hot day and I thought I might take my young son into the pool. I was about to go outside when all of a sudden a cat ran across our yard, well Boof just took off after the cat yep my young son took off after Boof, then Boof it looked like his brakes stopped working, he was chasing the cat then I saw him slide (son still chasing him). he couldnt stop, he slid into the swimming pool with such force he bent the tin frame nearly flat to the inside of the pool, well a waterfall began, Boof was on the other side of the pool he crashed straight through it, my son ended up slipping on the water skidded to the other end of the pool, crashing and landing on Boofy scream of laughter was coming from my son, absolutely soaked to the skin covered in mud, Boof was trying to get up, slipping all over the place from the mud as well I think he was seeing stars from his hard hit, he couldn't get up. I couldn't stop laughing at the pair of them. They looked so funny covered in mud, the pool was later repaired. Son and dog was hosed off so it all ended well

Do you have a pet story to tell?

Kind thoughts

Grandy.

Hello everyone...

Im definitely a bird lover...I have a group of sparrows that hang out mostly in a wattle tree through the day...and I can sit for a long time just watching their funny antics and listening to them...

My daughter and l had a funny one yesterday. We went for a 10k walk round this big lake lotta reeds and stuff , and green patches around the land either side of the track.

And a group of kangaroos came hopping along the track saw us and ducked into the reeds. Then one came along on his own saw us about 6mtrs along we all stopped, he looked at us we looked at him, and funny but my daughter and me both said and pointed at the exact same time ahh, they went thata way, just messin round. low and behold it was like he understood, he looked at us, then he looked to the side where we pointed and then he just casually hopped in through there and there were his mates.

We started walking again chuckling got to the spot and there they all we in there munching away and all was well with the world.

ps , classic steve , never would've pictured a chicken in snow

Just reading Fred4761s post bout his cat it reminded me bout my dog jesse and his cat attacks. Once taking a casual stroll a massive and i mean massive ginger cat jumped out of a hedge onto jesses back and jesse let out the most loudest yelp. Another time while again taking a casual stroll 2 tabby cats ran out a yard and chased him up a street while he was yelping all the way. Another time a cat pounced out a bush while we walked past and scratched his nose and made it bleed. His last cat attack while walking was a different ginger cat which launched out a bush and attacked him which caused him to move awkwardly backwards and he ruptured his knee ligament. My family dog sara was so scared of cats when we saw one on a walk we had to cross the rd.

Welcome back Helium. I know who you are now with your dog Jesse. I remember your hilarious story about Jesse and the cat in the pram. I won’t say your previous name as you might want to keep that to yourself. Good to hear from you again.

Hey jojo and poppy. I freaked out a bit and got paranoid that people might know who i am which is why i left. But eventually got comfortable with being on public forum and comfortably accepting so what if people know who i am. I was gonna come back as white wolf warrior but felt a fresh accepting change was good. I am changing my pic when i could be bothered. I bet everyones rugged up nice and warm inside while i am outside because there is a possum going back and forth along the yard making its freaky territory calls and jesse is wide awake watching it but he wants me to sit and watch him watch the possum. My cat is inside toasty warm

Hello Helium

I see Jesse has you well trained lol! Hope the possum doesn’t keep you awake at night. Poppy still chases frogs and I do my best to rescue them.

I am glad you now feel comfortable being on the forums as people are very accepting and non judgmental. Take care & happy possum hunting!

Jojo
