Croix, it's absolutely gorgeous that you are reading to Sumo. I can imagine him being a bit miffed though about not having the chair to himself now, though I'm sure he's still secretly happy you are home. I'm glad he is supervising and taking care of you.

I laughed at your quote about exercise 😂 Yes, having a doughnut that talks to you is quite helpful, especially if the attendant is off with the fairies.

Yes, I think the kiwis are operating in shifts. They tend to imbibe while at the brewery until inebriated and then collapse in the igloo. But as they sober up they toddle off back to the brewery. So the kiwi pile keeps replenishing itself in a continuous cycle. This could make an interesting subject for a wildlife documentary on patterns in nature.

Rice, ham, pineapple and salad does sound like a deluxe hospital meal MK. My dad was in hospital over the Christmas and New Year period and the food situation was indeed dismal. They were short staffed in terms of both kitchen and medical staff. So I do wonder Croix if that was a factor for you as well. I'm glad you had the hear-a-books.

Well, I'm not sure if the donuts or LRC eats custard faster. All I know is I can't keep up with them.

I think that doughnut would squish my igloo if you tried to roll it on, it was a gigantic one.

What would it say if you regarded it as a (large) snack and commenced eating?

I'm not sure you should let the inebriated kiwis know about the custard, they would probably try and ferment it. Custarjack? 🍾

Speaking of donuts.... there is a store called G Free near me that (duh!) sells gluten free donuts. I swear these are just as good if not better than "normal" ones. Both wife and daughter have GF diets. I have also established a relationship of sorts with the staff and can the odd discount 🙂

Yummy smallwolf 😋 I have found that the gluten free donut business I discovered in my region recently is not a fixed store you can visit as such, but they appear with stalls at markets and events in various towns. So you’ve reminded me to check where there upcoming appearances are so I can partake of some gluten free donuts 🍩  I’m peckish now 😆

Hello everyone.

Sure thing  Paul... Will head over there next! As I prolly said, my wife and daughter are GF and not by choice. The pantry then is filled with GF items except for pasta and cereal. The only reason I tried these donuts were because you would get one free with each order.

And they were very good... In fact, exceeded my expectations. For the last while, I have been going to this store for my supply.

Dear All~

I remeber doughnuts of a different sort, as a teen getting in a car in the middle of the  night at a popular end of a road and spinning the car with the engine going flat out.  This of course left rubber circles for others to admire. If you were super-cool you ended up invisible inside a cloud of smoke.

Teenagers are curious creatures.

The only downside (apart from the authorities showing up) was we had re-treads rather than new tires (too expensive) and they had unexpected results - you heard a loud bang and knew the tread had separated from the old tire and hit the underside of the car.

Hello Croix,

Now we know you are more of a mischievous walrus than we thought. Little did we know that the sedate walrus in his igloo likes those kinds of doughnuts, which gives me an idea for the iceberg 🤔 A new venue we can call Hoon Central 😃 Penguins will arrive from all around to take specially designed penguin-sized cars for a spin. Professor Porpoise will be able to build some mini V8 penguin cars. Of course the kiwis won’t be allowed behind the wheel for obvious reasons.

What an exciting new venture for the iceberg. Hehehe 🤣
