Hi All,

For me it's lotto, poker machines and hotel stays.

Ive been lucky and won small sums of money which entice me to go back for more. I've been one number short of a first division lotto win twice. I've also won the venues $1000 win while playing a pokie.

I like change which is the reason for my hotel stays. I usually stay for one or two nights to explore a new area.

What are your guilty pleasures?

Gosh monkey_magic I thought wow she's buying same as me... then I realised lol.

Lillylane can you ask for a 50/50 chai & latte?
Trust kids to make you self conscious. A few weeks ago a little girl said to me, "Missy EM has you getting a baby soon?" I had to say "No darling that's just my fat tummy" LOL!

Builder's here measuring up now. omg he estimated minimum $500 for materials. Oh well I'm committed now, can't back out! We really need these shelves, so I'm pushing past the shakes.

Uncle is coming to do some major renos soon... that's going to cost alot too - there goes my savings!

Gardener tomorrow to help me remove stubborn weed stumps as thick as my arm.

I think my spending is grounding to a halt VERY soon!

I decided to go for a ‘dirty chai’ yesterday, so went through a drive-through.

Only to realise when I got home, there was no chai in it. Maybe I was given the wrong order.

It certainly had caffeine in it, that’s for sure!

Now I’m imagining someone else getting my dirty chai and wondering why it tastes different.

Hi Lillylane

That sure is relatable! I have the same feeling when I order my chai drink, and whether it is real steeped chai or powered chai, and then I think on for a long time and wish I made sure I had gotten real chai!

Hi everyone.

I LOVE buying wax melts, so they're just like a candle except without the flame so you put them in an electric warmer. Well you can use tealight warmers, you just light a tealight underneath. But I use electric. They're very relaxing to me, and I like so many scents. I like collecting them.

Sometimes I buy band stuff, like DVDs, CDs, etc.

Sometimes colouring books also. That's all I can think of currently.

What about everyone else?

- Tayla.

Hi Lillylane

I get so cranky when that happens.... I actually WAIT in the drive through section and check ALL our food and drinks now BECAUSE I'M SICK OF IT lol.

IF they dare complain, I say "I'm taking data on how many orders you get wrong".... about 70% now.

Talk to the hand while I check my stuffed up order lol!

Ahhh I used to be a very nice person.

Those wax melts sound so cool Tayla.... I had no idea how they worked lol.

I bought myself Kombucha today. Plus dried seaweed. Marinated tofu. Bean noodles lol - that's the Asian in me coming out full force.

Plus pork scratchings AND choc covered sultanas AND 2 choc covered nougat rolls lol.
I haven't bought junk food for myself for about 2 months. I had 10 choc covered sultanas and feel sick lol.

Don't feel guilty about any of it.
I'm trying to LIVE IT UP in my own way since my children are all almost independent at once - UGH!

It's my REVERSE empty nest... I'm filling up the nest with stuff I LIKE lol.

They are cool EM, I love them. Much cheaper than candles & easier to use too.

Never tried Kombucha or Tofu, had Seaweed & didn't like it. Not a big fan of Noodles. I love Pork Scratchings & the other stuff you mentioned though.

So I have a tea light thingy... held up by 3 Buddhas lol, but I think it's too tiny for a big wax melt.
Can you break them up?

I just put some water and essential oils in the little glass tray / bowl.

So would THAT one take a wax melt?

Outside on my balcony I burn incense ALL the time, the smell drives my kids crazy lol!

And I LOVE mozzie coils too - but we need them also (we don't use any insect sprays lol).
The smell reminds me of camping when I was young.

I think some foods are an acquired taste but I'll try to put up some tofu recipes on the Easy Peasy Recipe thread over time.
Fried up tofu in rice paper rolls with fresh veg and the SAUCE my eldest daughter makes is to die for lol. I must get the recipe from her first lol bec I depend on her to make it!
Tofu was my baby food so I was SO HAPPY when regular supermarkets began selling it, omg so happy!
Saved me tripping to China Town to buy my supplies lol.

Kombucha is probably an acquired taste too IDK but I'm looking forward to making my own one day - an "empty nest past time" lol!

Love EM

Yes you can break them up, you can get little pots to try out a scent, they range from $1-3 usually, depending on how big they are, that's a good way to see if you like a scent or not. Otherwise they have clamshells which is 6 squares, so a perfect size, usually $5 or so depending on the scent & brand. Lots of people make them.

Apparently oil burners for essential oil don't work, but a normal tealight warmer and electric warmer work. They have some at Kmart that are supposed to be good. I was thinking of trying the Kmart one myself, maybe for Christmas, it's $29 and the tealight warmers about $5 and they sell the tealights too, pretty cheap. I don't like candles because of all the work so I just use these and they're much cheaper.

But you could however try in your warmer that you use the oils in, just don't use water like the essential oils.

You can also get fragrance oils which you can put in a diffuser (like essential oils) although some diffusers only use essential oils (I have 1 for fragrance oils & 1 for essential oils, but some diffusers you can use both). Just make sure to clean it out with water & vinegar if you use fragrance oils, for a few hours. You can also use fragrance oils in mop buckets and so forth.

Never tried incense. They sell some Citronella tealights & melts that stop Mozzies. I'll have to check out that Easy Peasy thread. I don't cook myself, very dependant on my parents which is quite sad since I'm 21.

I like to buy magazines and books,

smoothies and acai bowls.
I spent A LOT on nail polish because I like to paint my nails myself as a soothing activity. Bit annoying because sometimes I don't like the colour when I open it, but most of the time it's awesome and perfect.
