We can do it BBers, we can do self-care.
Sleepy21 pointed out research that shows self-care REALLY helps!
Please share what you do for self-care so we can get inspiration, ideas and motivation to do it too.
Best wishes
EM

Awww thankyou quirky and Shelll, our wonderful steadfast BB members.... it's so lovely to read about your self-care. I care about you and love hearing it.
Meeting new people and baking hot cross buns - YOU POWER DUO!
Not_Batman, welcome back!! We've missed you so much! Big smiles at you saying so much self-care and self compassion has occurred the past couple of months!
That warms my heart so much.
Hey "grass under our feet" ain't a LITTLE thing.... we have so much to be grateful for with having space large enough for grass!
So nice to have you back... like the prodigal Batman lol.
Welcome to the forums Andrew-n, we are SO HAPPY to have you join and thankyou for sharing your self-care!
That's a pretty BIG day mowing AND cleaning the driveway lol... well done you!
Well my self-care won't sound like it but it IS believe me...
~ I moved tonnes of soil, literally, I stopped counting at 100 10L bucket fulls... carried them to all parts of the garden and emptied them... the darned Brush Turkey watched the entire time as I took this soil AWAY from the walls of my HOME... then started putting it back the minute I walked inside! so...
~ I brought up even more bricks and pavers from the back yard and long planks of timber and made 2 foot BOUNDARIES lol in sections everywhere, then...
~ used about 50 branches and put them all over the entire area... like a barbed wire fence that WON'T hurt Mr Turkey.
NB: Don't worry, there were NO eggs in the turkey mound... in fact I think he built it to have easy access INTO my home! Straight up to the laundry window... it was almost 2 stories high.
Fingers crossed this works.
~ I had leftovers for dinner lol
~ had a wonderful scrubby bath... the DIRT ugh..
~ listened to my favourite YouTube topics ALL DAY long.
Happy.
HAPPY EASTER again BB self-carers!

Hi everyone!
And thank you ecomama for always being all of our cheerleader on this thread! I thoroughly enjoy posting on here 🙂
Today my self care will be:
1) I am going to try to make home made Pad See Ew for the first time!
2) Visiting a friend after I work on my assignments
3) More gaming (I have been having so much fun on Stardew Valley!)

I LOVE seeing positive changes so YEAH YEAH YEAH GO Self-carers! lol.
Nice self-care things today missep and so early in the day too!
I'm so proud of you getting your assignments done, you're a POWER HOUSE!
Have a wonderful day!
Mine so far today lol:
~ confirmed a dentist appt for tomorrow oh yay lol (Yeah I know! They're open on Easter Monday wow)
~ did some more "turkey work" yep working against a turkey feels like I'm a turkey ...
~ swept out and started scrubbing down the walls of my laundry - getting there!
~ waited for our big Easter Brunch instead of eating earlier - I don't want to feel over full so I'm happy.
~ scrubbed the front porch which is REALLY exposed since I cut down my grape vine whilst having a rest from moving soil lol
~ put everything stored up into the compost.

Wow, sure has been busy in here. Going back a bit, thanks Sleepy & EM for kind words. Welcome Malaika and Harpbird (and any other newcomers I may have missed). Good to see Shell & Not_Batman around, too.
Again struggling with self-care with a lot going on at the moment, so holding myself accountable.
- Lots of snuggle time with my birds (this is daily self-care/birb-care - they need it too).
- Got myself some mini Easter bunnies so I can join in the fun in moderation around my diet.
- Invited my work friend over to the café with me on break (a rare opportunity we could both be on break at the same time). Her company in a more relaxed setting was pleasant.
- Popped my soda water up in the freezer for a bit to have icy cold with a wedge of lime. Super refreshing in these hot days we're having.
Blue.

Three self care things :
1. Went for a warm this morning and felt the sun on my skin. It was refreshing and beautiful.
2. Had a lovely lunch with my dad, outside in the sun. Was great fun!! Enjoying Easter time.
3. Danced to Cyndi Lauper, Roy Orbison and other artists whilst outside.
Happy Easter!’ Hope you are all well.
best of luck,
PsychedelicFur xxx
