We can do it BBers, we can do self-care.
Sleepy21 pointed out research that shows self-care REALLY helps!
Please share what you do for self-care so we can get inspiration, ideas and motivation to do it too.
Best wishes

Coffee is great, isn't it?
Today's things for me (which I neglected after my every day things):
- Encouraged my partner to go out and have fun with his friend, so I could have a much needed day to myself at home.
- Minimised some things. Cleared extraneous stuff out of my handbag and work bag to reduce strain on my bad shoulder (doubly important now I have a diagnosis that says I'm not just grumbling about nothing - taking my health seriously = big self care improvement for me).
- Did some cleaning that's well overdue. Feeling better about my environment.
- More journalling about my mental stuff. Never been big on it, but coupled with a lot of research, it's proving surprisingly helpful. Again, not assuming I'm sore over nothing is a big step forward for me. Bit of a theme, here.

Reading these SC points is so refreshing! Like listening to a waterfall hey Blue!
Even reading and posting here about our self-care is a mindful activity IMO.
Lol @ Blue... "not sore about nothing" lol.
GREAT ones!
Hey quirky, love your SC points, really got me thinking actually, Thankyou!
Hey missep, you're getting a Coffee Club going here! lol... you're managing work stress really well!
Hey Smallwolf, direct and straight to your 3 points. I'm seeing a very creative streak in you lol.
Hey J* how did you go with the 5 things - thoughts? LOVE zucchini slice!
Back to Blue, yeah you did well to get a day to yourself doing your thangs. It's great you persevered with Journalling. Noice ones.
My 3:
* slept in wow!
* threw out my TO DO List, it was feeling too bossy. So I list ONE thing to get done and do more of anything if I feel like it (on top of the usual). My ONE thing was a trip to Bunnings with Yvette and we DID see my friend on the paint counter yay! Because he told us the other lady was selling us the wrong stuff OOPS @ lady lol. We got the RIGHT stuff and Yvette took an extra shift offered tonight. So SHE starts painting tomorrow and I will help no doubt.
* ate nice food of my choice today.
ONwards and UPwards self-carers.

Played old songs and sang along
Had my eye lashes tinted.
Went for a walk
Used my home made body butter.
I am trying to do more selfcare to show myself I am worth it.

Hey Guest_630, You are SO worth it. Love how you had your eye lashes tinted, good one!
Nice ones Sleepy, I agree we're doing really well.
Today I:
* spent time in the garden this morning
* did food shopping in 2 shops and bought some things I would like to eat too lol.
* One of the 5 things - "touch" I lovingly folded all my clothes and spent time thinking about where they'd go in my new bedroom lol! I don't want to live out of a laundry basket, nup. If I can fold all the children's clothes with love then I can also show myself the same care, respect & love. This one almost covers the "smell" one too bec I bought new nicer laundry detergent and it smells AWESOME.
* took time out from the bedrooms palaver to come on to BB and see what's happening in the Staying Well section.
Keep going self-carers... bit by bit some of our self-care will become a "ritual" we do and more routine.
Love EM

Hey Sleepy, great you arrived early to show respect for yourself and your long term needs.
That's sweet.
Hey Tay, welcome back! Great to hear you're doing your daily walks as routine self-care.
This afternoon I:
* prepared and ate a healthy lunch yum!
* continued to sort thru things for my new room, what to throw in the garbage, what to pass on, what to store, what to keep.
* coped in a calm way with kid's surprise extra shifts at work today / tonight. This added 6 unexpected car trips which is kind of annoying BUT the kids love the extra money, we enjoy the chats in the car and it's nice to listen to some music in the car too.
