We can do it BBers, we can do self-care.
Sleepy21 pointed out research that shows self-care REALLY helps!
Please share what you do for self-care so we can get inspiration, ideas and motivation to do it too.
Best wishes
EM

Hi all,
Great work as usual, everyone. Thanks Selfcaresorceress, for the encouragement/positivity. 🙂 Those are some good self cares - I could afford to take your example and socialise a little more, it's been lacking, lately.
My most recent:
- Continuing to write.
- Coffee dates with my partner.
- Allowing myself to just do the absolutely necessary household jobs through a period of heightened stress and added workload, instead of obsessing over what it isn't feasible to get done (i.e. giving myself room to do things that help my mental health, not just the stuff that stresses me out).

Hi all,
Struggling hard on the self care front, this week, but trying.
- Daily walks with my partner (sadly much of the motivation for this has been procrastinating on necessary tasks we are struggling to face, but walking is in itself healthy, so it sorta counts).
- Making good food (the necessary cooking has unfortunately been really stressful to maintain, so half self care, half the opposite).
- Finding new music to listen to (followed by forgetting to listen to it whilst trying to keep up with food requirements, so also kinda half self care, half dismal failure).

dont worry yourself too much Blue, a little bit can mean a lot. Sometimes we think too much is not enough.
I Mowed the lawn in the sunshine
I had a delicious lunch with my family and mum (i know she is family too)
I did some welding on a project (my first big welding project mind you)
The self care i didnt do though, was sunscreen. 🥵

Hi all,
Thanks Missep & Not Batman for the encouragement/understanding. Not Batman, I hope you have some aloe vera around the place, helps a lot with sunburn.
Today:
- Another walk with my partner, this time the sun was out, and we reminded ourselves there was nothing aside from making lunch that urgently needed doing when we got home - i.e. walking for enjoyment, not procrastination. We had some energy today, were talking and connecting really well.
- Like you Missep, got some cleaning done. On my terms, only what I could manage and no more.
- About to play a game, and look into another I'd like to get.
