My self care today:
1) I did some nice extra skincare! Pampering myself makes me very happy!
2) I will play some of my new switch games
3) I will watch a movie with my boyfriend

hi all,
- threw out some broken things
- put on some warm socks and rocked a sock-sandal look that felt weird but actually loookd exactly like everyone else i saw outside today!

~ slept when I needed to sleep
~ used some nice skin care
~ bought delivery dinner to celebrate my son's awesome marks in his Maths Trial exams - he's rapt! lol. Little darling, so happy for him.

-phoned my Mum for a chat
- walked along a different road for a new perspective and to engage my mind in new things I could see

Today I did a few things so I wouldn’t be hating on myself like yesterday when I did nothing except sit.
So I - made a pineapple teacake
Did a load of washing & put it through the dryer
Vacuumed the hallway
Filled in September’s month on the calendar (only one day late)
Put two loads through the dishwasher (it’s only a small one)
So today I am worthy (or is that really just pathetic), T.

Hey happyhelper, Dools, topsy, quirky and all other wonderful self-carers showing us how it's done lol.
I appreciate your posts very much and I'm sure EVERYONE loves reading them!
No topsy, not pathetic. No surprise you equating worthiness with productivity. Our society has that about it.
I can think of other societies that VALUE those who meditate all day... our broad compass in Oz is showing "way off" lol. hence the major push for mindfulness perhaps?
A Brene Brown Ted talk might come in handy lol... not sure if you know about her?
She had a breakdown oh I mean "Spiritual Awakening" she later termed it... she still has major issues equating self worth with productivity.
I pretty much think we all might?
How much LESS trouble would we all have if everyone COULD spend half their days meditating and the other half MINDFULLY approaching all we do in the world?
Probably no trouble left lol.
SO well done for sitting on the lounge all day!

My self-care for today is MINDFULLY...
~ processing the traumatic memories I had "come down" this week.... loving myself through this as I would my own child and my own pets!
~ journalling HONESTLY for the very first time... accepting this things did happen.
~ spraying awesome fragrances around wherever I want to lol! It seems to "change the climate" in my house, clear the energy, make it feel nice inside...
Matching my outside world with the calm I intend for inside my own mind.
I'm so grateful for each of you.
Thank you for walking together in our self-care journeys.
It makes the WORLD of difference to have such sweet company along the way.

I self cared today by having a long conversation with a master in one of my fields.
I self cared today, by cutting short that conversation at about 2 hours long as I had another appointment to attend.
I self cared today by having two choc cream donuts! yippy!

I have been equating productivity with worth! I haven’t ever even stopped to think about it like that. You know that old saying “the lights are on but no ones home”! I must admit I feel a little bit thick 😵💫🤪!
I will check into Brene Brown. Thank you for your insights. I really do appreciate it.
As far as today goes,
I did some washing
I sat with my iPad this morning
And I sat with my iPad again this afternoon.
I'm a little tired today. The MOTH (Man Of The House) got up at 2am to watch the US Open tennis & I had a disturbed sleep after that.
