Hi Everyone
If you have any good news in your life or seen any good news in the media please let us know in a brief post 😊
Note: I understand and respect this thread topic is not for everyone as any level of anxious/depressive feelings are awful to experience
Just for myself I have a couple of positives
- Peta Credlin on Sky News gave Beyond Blue a huge mention earlier this week
- My mum is still independent and doing well at 90 years of age and her lung function test is 'Normal' and still a smoker! Love you mum x
any good news is welcome...and thankyou everyone for being a part of the Beyond Blue forums too!
my kindest always...Paul

What a nice turn of events david'n'goliath!
I am so glad that you are able to get a new phone like that! It is also very kind of you to give away valuable items! I'm sure the people receive them will be so appreciative!

i am glad you got the phone and the woman was kind. I joined one of those groups but it was stressful that if you used the words “please consider me “
you were banned and so many rules. I found it so hard I never asked or posted things to give away. One couldn’t say why you needed an item .
I am so glad the lady was so helpful.
So my good news a few days someone helped my partner and gave him advice when he was stressed. This person knew me a little but not my partner. So her kindness stopped him from becoming more upset.

Yep, I reckon you have hit a nail upon my own head there quirkywords!
What if people who find or found themselves in similar situations u describe where the rules are too much, could give their words to another person and say this "hey mate I want to say this_____________, but I'm a bit worried/concerned about negative consequences, even though I want to get the spirit of my message across, so could YOU please edit my words so that they will pass YOUR rules, so that I can say what I want to say, that you permit me to say, which is for the item________"
Just like needing a translater because of a new language medium.
If the french can't understand the germans, then let us get a british person who is fluent in both french and german to do the mediation of communication.
Hows that sound qw?

just saw this thread and thought it would be nice to hear a good news story.
Trying to think of one.
We have a local newsletter run my a few dedicated people for our part of town. It is a way of feeling connected and reading articles about what is happening in local neighborhood.

Hey quirky and everyone,
Thankyou for reviving this positive thread, well done you!
That's a sweet thing to have in your local neighbourhood. I went to a talk by Costa Georgiadis last weekend, one of his pearlers was "there's immunity in Community (connections)".
100%!
My GOOD NEWS is that my potatoes are growing well, by accident, in my garden lol.
Would LOVE to hear anyone else's good news too.
Love EM

Great news about your potatoes. I am a terrible gardener but the mint in 3 varieties grows inspite of me.
I know someone who visits and elderly person because he is alone.
several people I know collect items for local group that provides for homeless.
I believe there is goodness everywhere.
