Can you think of 5 things you noticed or observed in nature today, using all your senses?
I was wondering if this would be a beneficial exercise to help us focus on something else instead of painful emotions, troubled thoughts, over thinking, anxiety feelings and the darkness of that alone place.
As well as to see that there really is beauty all around us....

What a wonderful thread topic, especially for getting out of our thinking brain and grounding ourselves! Thank you for reviving it Grandy 🙏 I enjoyed reading about your sensory experiences.
Today I…
- felt the warmth of the sun on my skin
- smelt the salty air coming from the ocean
- saw the sunlight reflecting off the sea and limestone rocks
- heard the sound of oystercatchers, one of my favourite birds with so much character (a pair have two chicks that are nearly as big as their parents now - have been watching them grow and their family dynamics)
- tasted the homely flavour of the cauliflower soup I had for dinner

Today
I noticed how an old tree looked like an old person
I smelt the basil in my garden
I saw a cockatoo perched on a pear tree
I smiled at the poppies
i watched a dive Oren herself in front of a mirror in my garden.

Qurirky, I love how some trees look like an older person, like they are very wise. They have great character.
Today:
I listened to the sounds of parrots in my garden
I felt the warm kindness of my lovely Aunty on the phone
I tasted a nice cup of green tea with lemon myrtle
I saw the golden, late afternoon light
I smelt a rose growing in my front garden
