When you're caught in the trap of fear and of violence,
You'll cry lots of tears but you'll do it in silence,
Your friends who most love you, will be pushed away,
As you stand by the person who one day they'll pray,
You realise the harm they are doing to you,
As your beautiful face becomes black and blue,
It makes them feel stronger and better and bigger,
there's a choice of two endings, which one will you trigger?
A survivor of domestic violence

Hi, welcome
I love your poem, great poems have a message and in my world they can easily make you cry because a good asset is to have empathy and walk in anothers shoes.
We have a site here for poems so I'd like to suggest that you post it there also.
I have many poems there. You'll be amazed how many people read them and get value from verse.
