Dear Sara
a special thanks is
in order for you. A simple thank you doesnt seem enough.
I am so grateful
that you are here. You were one of the first people to welcome me
here and your still here with me. I feel so blessed to have you by my
side and part of my surrogate family which to me your not a surrogate
but rather a real family member. Your caring and kind and have been
so patient and understanding even though im sure your there half the
time banging your head on the table with frustration at me. But I
have been taught valuable lessons through you being more firm as well
as being kind. I get it- cruel to be kind. I know the difference
andwhen you write it comes from the heart.
Over the past few
weeks well really months, it has been an extremely rocky territory
but you and others have helped me through and I dont think for one
second its over but I can manage with the skills I have been taught.
Its been a living hell and the endless nightmares have been tortuous
but I know you understand. I dont have to say anything, its a silent
part of our communication that im sure makes our bond just that
little bit more special.
Of recent you knew I
should be in hospital, yet I didnt listen. Maybe out of fear, maybe
out of stubborness, I dont really know. But I can see now that you
were right and you helped me through that too. While I was in there I
often thought of those here and those who are with me in spirit. Your
spirit particulary stood out at me, helping me along and getting my
head together. And while im not great I know your still with me,
youve made that clear to me and I can feel you with me.
I strive to get
better and to make you proud. And I can only hope that im doing that,
despite how mnay times I seem to break down.
Thank you. These
simple words just dont mean enough to express the way I feel.

Hi SN,
Thank you for the beautiful post addressed to everyone 🙂 It was very heartfelt...
Although I don't think you need to thank us for our "forgiveness"; you haven't done anything wrong, please know that.
More hugs from me to you for your recent loss as well as for everything raining down on you...

My sweet girl;
What amazing, awesome and heartfelt posts to everyone. I hear you and validate your words with love. You've done exceptionally well to date; you've stuck it out and are learning. I truly understand your pain, confusion and what it takes to recover, especially because of your sexual abuser. Life hasn't been easy you poor girl.
I guess I'm wondering what's bought this on. Please, I'm in no way lessening the value of what you've written either hun. It's the most expressive post I've read from you. Being grateful for support in the way you've put it, is absolutely beautiful and endearing...I'm honoured.
I'm sure others are just as stoked as I am with your post; Pepper has replied with some lovely sentiments bless her.
Just one thing; I want to know you're ok...safe to be more specific. It's wonderful if you're having a moment of thanks in your heart. Though, sometimes people can get like this when they're thinking of suicide. I'm just doing my duty to you as your confidante and Nan. I'd love to hear from you saying you're fine and having an emotive effect from stuff going on in your life is all.
Again, I'm humbled by your words Essen. Thankyou from my heart of hearts...
Nan Sara xoxoxo

My Sara
im glad you liked
it. I know you truly understand.
I just want life to
be over. I hate it and I want it to be better but it doesnt matter
what I do, it always always comes to bite me.
I knew you were
going to ask that as it was random I suppose. This is the one thing
that seems to keep me going, being here in amongst people that care.
Im not going to
suicide but im not ok.
Ive been yet more
bad news and results and I was hoping that I was able to share
something good. But I cant. It upset and frustrates me that life has
nothing good in it.
But this is one
thing that I can share thats positive and those were the 'thanks'.
Im an evil spirit so
I dont really know how they turned out but from the responses they
turned out the way I wanted them to turn out.
I just dont know
anymore. It doesnt matter what I do its always wrong. I dont deserve
to be here. I dont deserve anything good anymore. I deserved
everything traumatic thing thats happened to me.
My horse isnt even
here now because of me. If I had of checked her earlier or went there
more than 4 times a week then maybe she would still be alive.
It just feels
pointless to try and make something good happen anymore.
Im out of hope.

Hi SN,
Thank you for being honest about how you're feeling. I hear that you're in an indescribable amount of pain. The hurt and exhaustion rings loud and clear...I'm glad Sara picked up that something wasn't right...
Oh SN, you don't and didn't deserve the things that happened to you. The only people who should be blamed are the perpetrators. It is always the perpetrators who are at fault. You have done nothing wrong....
I'm very worried about you. Please keep holding on. I know you're tired of fighting. I know you're hurting. Many of us have been at a similar point to you...I hear your pain even if our stories aren't the same. I've been at a point where I didn't think my life was worth living. I "get it", SN. Many of us do...
Maybe it's time to let someone else take charge and by "someone else", I mean professionals who can walk you through this difficult period...do you have a safety plan? Now would be a good time to follow the safety plan if you have one...if not, can you call Lifeline and they can help walk you through this?
Also, know that many of us care about you. Know that we are here for you and want the best outcome for you. You have fought before and survived. I have faith you can do it again. Please keep holding on. You go this. You got this. You got this.

I'm here Essen and I've read your post to me;
It seems you've gone from one end of the spectrum to the other my sweet. You haven't written like this for quite a while, so I'm wondering where you're at in terms of support at home, in your community and how you're supporting yourself.
Pepper's written a fantastic response with amazing words of encouragement. She see's you the way I do. It's because you're still here fighting the good fight, even though life throws curve balls when you least expect it.
What I've noticed, is that when something unpleasant occurs, you grieve, become soft and vulnerable, then you begin to berate yourself as if the world's wrongs are on your shoulders; this pattern is self destructive.
There's time for cuddles and aloneness, there's also times to be strong. More than this though, there needs to be time for self assessing; being productive in watching yourself from a distance. It's about changing patterns of behaviour and communication.
Giving thanks and praise to us is a mighty big step for you hun. I believe it may have been a trigger to bring out the self loathing stuff to be dealt with. Our brains work like this sometimes. Your old self destructive beliefs need to be changed because they're toxic and aren't true...they just aren't ok!
I used to do the same thing when good things happened; I caused an argument or problem so I'd fulfil the beliefs about myself as being unlovable or unworthy. These days I catch my mind mid sentence and tell myself its the past and to stop it. It's sort of like parenting ourselves, only from a functional adult perspective. The wounded child you once were mustn't be allowed to be in control.
One of the most important processes I had to face, was forgiving myself. No-one else thought of me as harshly as the way I thought of myself; that's where you're at. Just because you think of yourself this way, it doesn't mean others do too, because that's pure rubbish.
If you think about it, when you were 16 you'd only had the ability to speak properly for 10 yrs. In that time you were busy developing a sense of self and where you fit in the world. The man who manipulated and sexually abused you had the advantage of many more yrs experience, so why would you think you were at fault? It doesn't make sense!
You've made such amazing progress and I think this scares you. I know it scared me. It's a new way of thinking, being, acting and accepting.
I'm here to chat...
Nan xoxo
