Hi Sarah sorry It has taken this long to reply.I had the surgery and it has been painful since. Not sure if the operation has been a succss or not.It is looking like it hasn't been but have to give it more time.Their looks to be an infection in the wound area as well.Been on strong antibiotics.I am really sorry I haven't been on here, just really struggling with the operation and the recovery at the movement.
Take care,
Your friend,
Mark.

Hey Mark
No need to apologize, you need to rest so you take your time, I was worried about you though I will admit.
It is great to hear from you but not so great that you are not sure if it was successful or not..I have my fingers crossed for you.
Thank you for letting me know you are ok, take all the time you need to get strong and we are here waiting when you feel you want to return. No pressure at all.
I hope at least you have some sunshine and some beautiful things from your garden to enjoy.
Chat when you can my friend and once again it is great to hear from you.
Hugs as always
Sarah

Hello my friend
I am so sorry that this operation has caused you to be fighting and infection and that it may have not worked at all. I know you were really preparing for this and were very hopeful of it's success. I am hoping that maybe there is still time and that once the infection passes you can see some results, I have my fingers crossed for you for some better outcomes on this Mark..
I have missed seeing you around the forum and I am glad that you have checked in with me as I do care, very much and I am glad to know you are essentially ok, even if at the moment it is hard. I am not sure if you are able to get out and about and even into your garden to get some sunshine and some fresh air, that might even help just a little.
I did want to ask you about my beetroot..lol...they should have been ready by now and I am thinking I have maybe planted too many too close together, or they are just taking longer. But according to the tag they should be ready..I pulled one up and there isn't even anything at the end of the root yet.......I am so confused!
How are the kids doing? We are still fighting through home schooling but the news looks promising with the possibility that they will return to the classroom next term....I have everything crossed for that.
Off to make some breakfast for these two....maybe another coffee...some work and then back to the 1000 piece puzzle we are doing...ahhh iso!
Hugs to you Mark and thinking of you as always.

Hi Sarah I have been growing beetroot for years. You might have them planted to close together. If you have thin them out.And another thing is they will probably take longer to grow being in a more colder climate. They usually take longer during winter. You can eat the leaves of beetroot as they related to Silverbeet.I love you still into your garden.
Tale care,
Your friend,
Mark.

Thanks so much for the tips, I am scared to spread them out as they might die so I might just leave them a little longer and see what they do. You are right in that the weather has been really cold and that might have slowed things down alot too. I will wait and see. I am still really loving it and it gives me something to look forward to and also like I am achieving something, which helps in these times of lockdown.
I have started a puzzle with the kids, um ook let me rephrase that, I have started a puzzle that I thought I would do with the kids, they come and go and are sort of interested but essentially it is me doing all the hard work and they sail in at the last minute to do the easy parts...lol. It is fun non the less and providing us with some entertainment.
Good news on the horizon with the numbers slowly coming down, let's hope that we do get these numbers really low and that we can all start to resume some sort of active normality. Also get these kids to school in Term 4...
How are you feeling today? I hope that with each day the infection is showing signs of healing and that you have some indication that you are on the mend. I am so sorry you are going through this Mark, I know you had a lot of anxiety heading towards this surgery so I am just really sorry it hasn't gone more smoothly for you.
Off to have a coffee and see what these kids are up to..sigh!
Chat soon my friend

Thanks Sarah.I really am down and don't know what to say.I am still recovering.I went to the GP on last Thursday and said I should have been in hospital longer but the virus changes everything. He gave me some different medication to try.I found out my usual doctor has come back to work finally. It will be good to see her again and she is the only one I like talking to about my mental health.I am coming up to a sad time for me on the 18th Sep my mother's birthday and the last time I spoke to my friend. She had no idea it was my mother's birthay and I always struggle with it.
I hope you are doing ok and you can slowly get back to a normal life when restrictions slowly ease for you.i hope your garden is going well.My new flower garden is in full bloom now.Looks really good.
Take care,
Your friend,
Mark.

Hi Mark
I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling so down at the moment and that things have not gone as they should have with the surgery and your recovery. It is hard to hear that things should have been different but were not due to this virus, it has impacted so many things, it really has and I just hope we all come out of this for the better and not the worse.
That is great news that your regular doctor is back, it is great to know that you will have a good session and get some good advice and support. It really does make such a huge difference when we connect with people.
I will be here to chat on the 18th, to be here like any other day for you but I do know how hard it is to have anniversaries to "wait for". It hurts and the worry of what the day will bring and how you will feel and react, it is alot. I really did not know how I was going to go on the first anniversary of my brother's passing but the day went very differently that I thought, I think too that I had also my mother's recent passing to manage so I really was so full I could not feel any more full, I think that helped in a weird way. I hope you can do a small something to mark your mother's birthday and to feel good about her and about you too.
My veggies are going ok, although they still not have produced anything...so I really have no idea what is going on but I water them and talk to them so we will see. I am just so excited that they are big and flourishing, surely they will have to have some veggies soon right?
Huge hugs to you my friend and am always here for you.
Sarah xx
