Good Morning my friend...no I did not get to go on my walk.....grrr
Today is a new day and the sun is out and so I have plans to do it tonight, my son has his mates over so while they are playing playstation and whatever else I can go for a walk then...let's see..lol
I have this thought that I might pop into Bunnings on the weekend and see what little garden beds they have a start something small...I will keep you updated on how that goes but something little that is not too overwhelming and does not feel too much pressure....I am kind of excited. I have taken note about the moth powder too...I think I also need some spray for a rose that I have, there are little bug things on them and I want them gone too...
OMG..those grapes sound amazing, you are so clever and I am sure that they are absolutely delicious. I have never heard of having something like that on ice cream but it sounds so yummy. Do you like blue cheese? I absolutely love it and imagine that the grapes are kind of like the pastes that you can buy to have with them, like quince and pear...yum.
I was telling my son last night about the Sherman/bubbles story and he was firstly horrified that someone would not take care of their cat and he is so pleased that she found you and that you took care of her. He did laugh at the name Sherman and agreed bubbles was better...lol
OK well off to get my Oat Chai Latte....yum!
Chat soon and big hugs
Sarah xx

Hi Sarah your oat chai latte sounds yum.I hope you can go on a walk tonight. You will need to escape your son and mates for awhile.I am sure they are all good.
It is freezing here today. We had a little shower of rain before.I might have to get the fire going.
Yes that would be good idea to buy a garden bed from Bunnings. They are good and they have a few different ones and sizes. When you get one put plenty of organic matter in it like manure and compost and things will grow really well. And i find it easier to buy vegetable seedlings for a lot of vegies and when i plant them i use liquid fertilizer on them lile seasol for the first week or so.
The grapes turned out nice.I had some grapes in the fridge that my son didn't eat so instead of feeding them to the chooks i cook them up like that. They were yummy with icecream.I do like blue cheese. In fact i like all the different chesses and sit in front of tv with crackers and some camebert or some other nice cheese.
I son sounds like such a caring youn man.You must be so proud of him.I haven't told my daughter yet about bubbles old home and name.I think his previous owner thought it was a male cat calling it sherman.
I will have to go i have Banana bread in the oven and the timer is just about to go off.
Take care,
Your friend,
Mark.

Hey Mark
So another night of no walk...lol..however it has been nice just chatting with my son and his friends..I just did a Tik Tok with one of the girls..lol. I feel really lucky my son is a great kid and his friends are pretty good too. I am just about to go get them a bucket from KFC for dinner..yes I know it is your fave too..lol
It has been really cold today here too so I think the best of the sunny days are coming to an end with the cooler weather on the way. I really like to have a pizza in bed and just watch a movie in winter and just hear the rain outside, I think thou after isolation I will be out this winter..lol
How did your banana bread go? I am sure it is really delish, I have to do some more baking, I love making pavolvas, the only thing is that when you bake you have to eat...lol...not good if you have to watch your weight..lol
Hope tonight is a good night for you, I am just hoping I get some sleep with all these kids here...lol
Chat soon my friend , off to KFC now.
Hugs
Sarah

Hi Sarah KFC yum yes it is my favourite naughty indulgence.I bought some a few weeks ago after my daughters pscycologist appointment for a treat.
My banana bread was yum and had some with a cup of milo. Will have some for breakfast with a milo.
Staying in bed in the colder months watching tv with a pizza sounds good.My son usually watches his DVDs in my bed on the weekend and my daughter watches her DVDs on the one in the lounge room while playing on her laptop.
A cold morning here.I think the maxium forecast is 11 degrees.I will probably have the fire going all day here.I only have my son this weekend. He is back at school nonday, i will nervously see how that goes. They wont have long and it will be school holidays again. What a weird year we are having.
I was hoping to do some work in the vegie garden this weekend like removing my pumpkin and water melon vines and getting another bed ready for planting.I have some Bok Choi to go in but not sure what else i will plant yet.It might be two cold to get outside. It was freezing yesterday with the wind blowing. My washing didn't even dry it was do cold.
I hope you have a great weekend.I only have my son this weekend. It allways seems much easier having one on their own.I think it's time to put the jug on for a hot milo if get out of bed and brave the cold.
Take care,
Your friend,
Mark.

Good Morning Mark
The KFC went down very well, they loved it...I have never actually bought a bucket of chicken and felt somewhat awkward like it was so greedy, however they did some good work and ate all but 3 pieces...lol
The banana bread sounds so yummy however I have a kind of milk thing, I really don't like it at all, except for on cereal or in coffee...now I have oat milk so that is much better. Dairy and I are just not friends...
All the very best for Monday and I am sure everything is going to go well, I think all the kids will be so glad to see each other and their teachers that hopefully that provides a distraction to mums and dads dropping them off and leaving. I am sure they will be a little timid as they have been at home for so long. I hope it all goes well for you and for your son. I understand you are nervous, I will be too for mine and just hope they have a good day. We have a week longer to wait.
I am going to stop in at Bunnings today and see what they have and have a look around, I am really excited to see what I come out with..you can bet I will be on here to tell you all about my purchases.
Off to get these kids sorted out and make nutella on toast...ewwwww
Hugs to you my friend

Hi Sarah i have bought the odd bucket of KFC over the years. The first time i saw a bucket was when my aunty bought one 40 years ago.It was so exciting especially when my parents would never buy anything like that for us when i was a kid.I didnt experience maccas for the first time to i was in my late teens.
I was picturing you at Bunnings today buying garden beds and plants and all sort of things having fun.I go to bunnings a lot and usually out to the plant section first and check the fruit trees first and then everything else.
I have never tried oat milk and wonder what it taste like compared to our regular cows milk. When i was kid my mother use to give me soya milk instead of cows milk and it was horrible and i hated it and the icecream she was bought was terrible.I was glad to go back on cows milk even though it was only in small amounts.I have to watch my self as i can eat a tub of ice cream easily.
My son this morning said he dosn't want to go back to school so i told him it would be fun seeing his friends again and his teacher and then he agreed.I hope he goes ok on monday. It is really hard to get him into a routine and we have had such a long break whiched has just messed everything up for him.
I was bathing him before and dressing him and he asked me why do i have such big ears and i said all the better to hear you with.I use to get teased in school about my ears.
Today i just spent most of the day sitting in front of the fire and watching The Three Stooges with my son who would go off doing his own thing and then come back.
I hope you had a good day.
Take care,
Your friend,
Mark.

Hey Mark
Thinking of you this morning as you drop your son off, I hope that it is good for him and he is glad to see his teacher and be with his friends, I hope too it all is going smoothly and that you are ok. That was really great that you were able to reassure him on the weekend and put a positive spin on it for him and he could see that today would be good. I am sorry he said that about your ears...my kids have said some pretty ordinary things to me too when young....I am sure they don't mean to offend, just curious..lol
Well you were very right, I can now proudly say I am the creator of the "VEGGIE GARDEN"...I have no idea if I have done it right, if they have enough space or if they will die with the frost that is in Melbourne..so I will try and upload a picture and you can see what I have done. So I planted mini cauliflower, brocoli, beetroot and brussel sprouts....I am in the process of writing a date line so I can know when to expect some veg..lol..I really enjoyed the time putting it all together and I hope that it all comes to life. I feel kind of anxious about it though like if it doesn't work I have killed those seedlings....grrrr
I hope your time in front of the fire was delightful, I love a fire and especially with a glass of wine and some cheese..how perfect that would be!
Thinking of you today and hope it all goes well and I am looking forward to hearing how your son is doing.
Stay tuned for the veggie pic..lol

My son went to school ok today. He had to be picked up at 1pm today which was happening before. My daughter wasnt to keen on going to school but went.
I found it a bit amusing he said that about my ears.It was something i allways got teased about at school. My daughter says i look like Mr Bean.

Hey Mark
I am so happy to hear that the day went well for your kids, I was so happy to read that your son made it most of the day and that your daughter went, this is really great.
I hope you are right in that my veggies go ok, do you think that I have planted them too close together and do you think that they will be ok in the tubs??? So many questions and a little panic as I said as I don't want to kill them from not knowing how to take care of them. I also have not put any fertilizer on them, should I do that?
That is kind of funny how our kids think we are super daggy and that yours think you look like Mr Bean....mine think I look like Nicole Kidman from her BMX bandits days...hmmmmmm....so yeah..not sure who wins on that front....lol
I am watching the voice, wow these people are amazing, I would love to be able to sing..such a beautiful instrument is an amazing voice. Just watching Guy tearing up at his brother..just beautiful...
Chat soon my friend.
Hugs

Hi Sarah yes you can use fertilizer on them.I would probably use liquid fertilizer on them it is really good to get them started. You can thin them out to the strongest growing plants if they get to crowded. Its all a learning experience.I am still learning.
I watched a good movie tonight called I knew infinity but it was sad in the end.I am watching The Cobbler now.
Take care,
Your friend,
Mark.
