Hey guys,
My life at the moment is really complicated, so I'll keep it brief:
- My parents are extremely strict- they don't let me do anything, when my boyfriend (who was also my best friend) broke up with me, they didn't know
- I was touched inappropriately last year by someone who I had known for years (not a family member, a peer)
- I suffered from depression(?) after the breakup for about 5 or so months (I don't have a diagnosis because my parents didn't know)
- I have stopped now, but I had been self-harming for around 2-3 of those months
- A couple of weeks ago, the depression and anxiety was so bad that I wanted to kill myself
- I am always anxious- I have a constant feeling of dread in my stomach
- I have panic attacks frequently that sometimes are for no reason- these involves sweating, shaking, hyperventilating and crying
- I really hate germs and am kind of obsessed with washing my hair and sanitising my hands
- A lot of my 'friends' judge me and some of them bitch behind my back
- I find that my anxiety is not at the front of my mind when I dance or when I am on this forum helping others
- My ex and I are friends again, but some weeks he ghosts me and flirts with random girls, and some weeks he acts like my boyfriend again
- I have only recently 'come out' to my parents about being anxious all the time
- I am going to see the school counsellor on Monday
- My parents are going to take me to a GP and get a referral to see a psychologist
I would like some advice on how to talk to a counsellor/psychologist and some general info about confidentiality and stuff like that.
Thanks guys xx

Hey Chloe,
It was indeed cold and wet the other day in Adelaide, unfortunately, the north of South Australia didn't get any rain though. The drought is pretty bad up there! So please keep the hot and send some rain up north!
Hope you're doing well!
Xx

Hi Lici,
hope the drought isn't too bad 🙂
ive been doing quite well lately, I've made a new friend and talking to him has become part of my routine. It's normal to wake up to a message from him and its normal for him to wake up with a message from me. Unfortunately we don't exactly see each other at all as he's in SA and I'm in NSW, but it's good having made a close friend that I know I can trust. I have been a lot happier in the past few weeks than I have in just under a year.
I did my year 11 maths test on Monday and came out with 89%!!!!!! So proud of myself it's an A 🤗🤗
hope you are doing okay too xx

Hey Chloe,
The drought is horrible in the desert areas of SA. they've only had 6mm of rain in 2 months. The native animals are dying because all of the water holes have dried up. It's sad.
I'm glad to read about your friend. I've had many long distance friends. I've got friends in America and in the UK that I've never met but have spoken to a lot over the past ten years. Distance doesn't matter when it comes to friendships 😊
Well done on your maths test! That's fantastic! In uni, that mark would be a high distinction or an A+ like the highest mark you can get! You should be very proud of yourself!
I'm doing well thanks. I'm gonna update my thread with the latest so I don't take over anyone's thread 😂
Hugs 🤗 Lici

Hey sweetheart and all ☺
Think you're a hugger hun 🤗 Wow impressive or what! Congrats lovey. Keep that good memory and your lead role woo hoo if you're feeling down on yourself these achievements have attached happy memories for a lift.
Love seeing you having such good things happening. I feel your positive mature outlook brings on the goods and you seem to be able to move on which in itselfs a major. You go girl 😀 Any chance you could teach me how ☺ pay ya with a choccy, note only one 😉
Isn't it lovely to have a constant in your life and trust it's a biggy for everyone. Maybe in the future youse might meet. And theres always skype face time etc. Love computer technology.
Hey Lici, nice seeing your lovely friendship growing 😊it is sad the poor animals. Natures incredible but also can be so cruel. I believe we'll eventually work out how to get water to drought areas. I have some ideas if they'd just ask professor Deebi 😊 but I do actually.
Keep rising dear Chloe, each time you get through issues you become a little stronger, we're here to learn I'm sure of it.
Have awesome days everyone and keep putting one foot in front of the other, we can and they/we are learning how to manage depression and all it's junk toys. Hope 🕊🌹🤗

Chloe_M,
I am hearing you. I don't really know when those down moment will strike me next. I am on ADs so do not drop as low as I would otherwise but things happen. This time for me is sort of an anniversary for when I saw a GP and psychologist and the rest is history. I guess the thing here is knowing, or working out, what the triggers might be if there are any?
Remember that your health is paramount so if need to take a little off or away that is OK.Just remember to use your distraction and coping tools on the days when everything is well. Make it a pattern or part of your every day.
