Hi Peacock,
I see this is now your 5th post, so I'm sorry that I've missed your other ones here - which may have delved into some of your issues. This post is very brief and not so good, to be honest.
Peacock, 3 weeks is still too early for meds to be fully working in your system - they do have a period of time before they actually have built up enough levels to be able to benefit you. That period is usually around the 5-6 week mark.
Now it's great that you are on meds and they're well on the way to doing their thing; but as you're on meds, that tells me that you must have a supporting GP or some other professional who precribes these for you.
Is it possible that you can try to make an emergency appointment with them to get in and see them - to give them details of this black hole that you're in??
Also on the top of each page, Beyond Blue also have their emergency number or are contactable via on-line chat with trained professionals as well.
Your post was 21 hours ago - may I ask are you still currently down in the deep dark pit? I hope we can somehow pull you out of there and soon.
Please get back to us as soon as you feel able to do so.
Kind regards
Neil

dear Peacock, I have to agree with Neil, so let's take this a bit further.
Even if your medication has kicked in, and within 6 weeks, it still maybe not the right antidepressant for you, which in time you will know, so if this is so then you have to go back to your doctor and explain that it's doing nothing, then they may increase the dosage to start with, and then again within another few weeks nothing is working for you, then they may change the AD.
When a dosage is increased then the results should happen pretty well straight away, because the chemical is in your system, but what we would like is for you to come back to us and explain how this depression has affected your life.
We only ask this because when people say that they have hit rock bottom, we absolutely know what this feeling is like and realise that it has destroyed your life, because we have been there ourselves too many times. Geoff.
