Hi, I am a long term sufferer of mental illness. My current job is high pressure and I am suffering more and more as time goes on. I have taken a lot of leave and am now feeling like it is harder for me to continue on with work. I would like to make a claim on my income protection but am scared about the process. Is there anyone who has made a successful claim for Temporary Disability or permanent disability?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Dear Guest_56392722,

I don’t know much at all about income protection and claims, other then a Drs certificate and report would probably be one of the main requirements when claiming….I’m thinking your Dr would more likely be able to help you fill out the claim form…

Hoping someone who know more about this will call in to chat to you..

Wishing you all the best…kind thoughts..

Grandy..

Hi CatMum55,

If you can find a financial planner/adviser in your area they are a great resource for insurance claims. Generally speaking they will charge a fee from the payout, but that should all be discussed before they do any work for you.
