I’m really sorry guys. I feel like I’m pushing everyone away with my constant negativity. So I’m just writing this for myself to get it out somewhere.
I seem to be cycling through moods constantly. This current low is really bad. I cant keep going through this. I see the psychiatrist next week and will have a medication change. I’m praying that it helps as I don’t know how long I can continue

Hi Captain T,
No need to apologise at all. That's what this is community is all about! 🙂
I'm sorry that you are in a low at the moment. I also hope that the medication change will help you. For the better part of 3 years I was subjected to constant medication changes until finally finding the right combination. I don't mean to scare you and say it will take as long for you, but I know how frustrating and anxiety invoking the medication journey can be. Fortunately, my psychiatrist always told me there always options and that we don't ever have to settle with our mental health in a less than ideal state. For me, this was true as I'm finally in a place that is sustainable for me and I hope the same goes for you. Please keep hope.
In the meantime, just a friendly reminder, you can always contact the team here at beyond blue by clicking "immediate support" in the top right hand corner of the page. They're always very helpful and responsive.
Please keep us updated and hope you have a better weekend. 🙂💙

Thanks Bob..
Hopefully it doesn’t take 3 years. I don’t know if I’d last that long.
I’m so glad that there is people that ‘get it’.
It’s been a real struggle today. I’ve just had enough. I’m back to feeling numb but I’m so much internal pain at the same time. I have urges that I have ignored so far. Just 3 1/2 hours til I go to bed. I should be able to resist that long.

Hi Captain T,
Please feel free to reach out to us anytime no matter what your mood may be we are here for you.
Remember Captain T you are on a journey and you will have good days and bad days but eventually the good days will out weigh the bad ones.
I understand it’s a marathon and it takes endurance and perseverance you have showed that you have this in you time and time again just keep on going.
Im sorry you are in internal pain I understand this can be hard because we have so many emotions running through us that are connected to our thoughts.
Remember to breathe….. follow your breath use it as your anchor…. When your mind wonders bring it back to your breath.
Hang in there

Something I just wanted to share with you Captain T, you may wish to practice this and in time it will help you to become more grounded, calm and present.
Mindful breathing for strong emotions by Thich Nhat Hanh
Sometimes we can experience strong emotions the below practice may help you to deal with these easier and allow them to pass and in turn help to find your inner calm.
"An emotion is something like a storm and you feel, that it is coming."
The practice of mindful breathing is very important.
We should not wait until the strong emotion comes.
In order to practice
We have to train ourselves with practice so that when the emotion comes naturally, we will remember the practice.
An emotion is something like a storm and you feel that it is coming and if you notice that the strong emotion is coming you prepare yourself in order to receive it and handle it.
Drop everything you are doing.
Sit down or lie down and wait for it while practicing mindful breathing.
In the sitting or lying position you breathe in and become aware of the rising and falling of your abdomen.
This is deep breathing
For a strong emotion we need deep belly breathing, we breathe in, in such a way that our stomach will rise as high as possible and when we breathe out we bring it down as much as possible.
If you are in a sitting position, you may like to put your hand here to feel the rising and falling of your abdomen.
Or if you are in the laying position, you may do the same.
Instead of staying here on the level of the brain, you bring your mind down and focus your attention down here on the level of the naval.

Hi Captain T
im still here. Sorry I’ve not responded for a while. My medication is making me not think at all. It’s not a good feeling but it’s not bad. Like it doesn’t allow my mind to wander. I too have gained a lot of weight due to my medication. I hate it but I would rather work on that later on when I’m okay. The rising is 100% right, it says more about other people than about you. They just aren’t as kind and caring about what they say. I can never say horrible things to anyone no matter what. It’s just who I am and because I know how much words can affect someone. Keep going hun, your time WILL come, even though the changing medication time is hard, it will be worth the wait x
