I feel lost

Dhkm3939

I've had 3 jobs in 2 years and moved back to my hometown feeling like it was the best thing but now I feel lost. I've begun some study to get some actual qualifications behind me however recently, I feel like I've lost myself. I've put on weight and am not my happy, bubbly self, our Sister recently got diagnosed with cancer and our Grandmother is going down hill. I just feel like I'm stuck. I'm on medication for depression and anxiety - have been for some time now. Hoping that getting back to the gym and getting rid of this weight will help me find myself again.

Hello Dhkm3939, a pleasure to meet you and welcome to the forum.

I am terribly sorry to hear about your sister's illness and it must also be so upsetting to know that your grandmother is going downhill that's a good reason why you feel lost, because you can only talk with, have a laugh and take care of them as best as possible so that would definitely make them happy.

I know there will be times when it's tough, and I can't tell you how this makes me feel, but they need your strength to be strong as time goes by, so it can work both ways, you all support and help eachother.

Try and get these qualifications behind you, this will not only encourage you but it will make your sister and grandmother so proud of you, just as going to the gym will prove to them something you want.

Feeling lost can be a turning point of finding out who you are and what you truly want to do and please remember if the medication needs to reviewed then go back to your doctor.

You need to look after yourself, that's the beginning of gaining your strength.

Geoff.
