Hi everyone, mb20lover here. I wasn't sure where to post this.

It's been a while since I was on the forums, so I just wanted to make a post saying that I'm back. However, I'll try my best to limit my time, comments, etc on here.

I won't bother tagging anyone, and I'll try to keep this as my only open thread that I have created.

I've missed everyone I've spoken to on here, and I hope to talk to some new people. I have been using my offline supports - my Psychiatrist, GP, Parent support of course, and a Social Worker. I'm in the process of finding a Psychologist but I'm having no luck.

Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hello, and also I hope I haven't upset anyone on the forums or anything like that because nothing was intentional, so I deeply apologise.

An update on me, I recently turned 21, can't do much with COVID though, it's a hard year for everyone unfortunately.

I also have a milestone, an achievement, I've been seeing my Psychiatrist for a year which is the longest I've stayed with a therapist. And I also finally have a GP I feel comfortable with. I'm on different meds that seem to be working a little but I still of course have my moments, but these meds I've been on the longest for out of any of the ones I've tried.

Other than that, please don't feel pressured to comment anyone, although it would be nice to connect with some people, old or new, but like I said that's okay. I just wanted to check in.

If you've read this and made it this far, thank you. Stay safe and take care everyone, as much as possible with the unfortunate COVID circumstances.

Thinking of all the Beyond Blue Mods & Users. I've missed everyone.

hi tayla -

does ur local hospital offer case-management? that can be helpful rather than staying in the hospital. i'm applying for case management and the ndis currently.

yep, vmiac are great. they helped me last week lodge a complaint.

I don't think they do Sleepy, no. They refuse to help me anyway. All I see around here is my GP (I travel 30 mins to see him but I'd rather that than be treated like crap in my actual town and have people who don't have a clue), a social worker whenever I can see her (won't be until April because she's away in March) 20 mins away, and that's all.

is there a y parc near u?

No there's not, never heard of those. I live in a country town (not country like middle of nowhere though)

they have them in rural towns... check it out x

Hi Tayla I think Y-Parc is for youth and have short term stay for young people with mental illness and they do other things as well.Google them.

Hi Tay

Its good to hear from you my friend. Sounds like a lot is going on for you these days.

I'm glad to hear you got a psychologist organised online - that is pretty cool

I hope you get some answers in regards to your health too. There is a lot taking place there by the sound of it.

I haven't been on my thread lately but just jumping in here and there to read a bit.

See you round my friend

No we don't have them around here. Oh well.

no problems

it's psycho social support without going to a hospital. it's a shame there are no services around as some of them are pretty great!the benefits of being in a group sometimes are powerful... even if u don't speak, u can just sit accross from another person watching tv and that's less lonely. a while back you were asking about psychosocial support, so just thinking there are different options which don't require hospitalisation and are still very supportive. i wander if your psychiatrist had such things in mind when he referred u to the triage? hope ur feeling a bit better

Thanks Sleepy.

From what I remember, my Psychiatrist just said that triage is somewhere I should go if I'm feeling suicidal, etc. whether it's just thoughts or not. I've explained all the issues with him and my GP, and my parents. I'm not sure if he was thinking about any of that either.

I was in a group at Headspace and that put me off since it was traumatic, that's about all there is here I believe. There are youth programs but it's run through the triage, otherwise it's just Headspace
