It's been a while since I was on the forums, so I just wanted to make a post saying that I'm back. However, I'll try my best to limit my time, comments, etc on here.
I won't bother tagging anyone, and I'll try to keep this as my only open thread that I have created.
I've missed everyone I've spoken to on here, and I hope to talk to some new people. I have been using my offline supports - my Psychiatrist, GP, Parent support of course, and a Social Worker. I'm in the process of finding a Psychologist but I'm having no luck.
Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hello, and also I hope I haven't upset anyone on the forums or anything like that because nothing was intentional, so I deeply apologise.
An update on me, I recently turned 21, can't do much with COVID though, it's a hard year for everyone unfortunately.
I also have a milestone, an achievement, I've been seeing my Psychiatrist for a year which is the longest I've stayed with a therapist. And I also finally have a GP I feel comfortable with. I'm on different meds that seem to be working a little but I still of course have my moments, but these meds I've been on the longest for out of any of the ones I've tried.
Other than that, please don't feel pressured to comment anyone, although it would be nice to connect with some people, old or new, but like I said that's okay. I just wanted to check in.
If you've read this and made it this far, thank you. Stay safe and take care everyone, as much as possible with the unfortunate COVID circumstances.
Thinking of all the Beyond Blue Mods & Users. I've missed everyone.

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't replied here for a while, I haven't been up to it.
Just an update, I saw my Psychiatrist on Jan 18th, and it was a mixed session. I was telling him stuff and at times he was just more interested in looking his floor so I don't think he was listening and paying attention, it didn't seem like it anyway. I told him I don't feel like my meds are working but he said he's not a fan of doing 2 things at once, saying putting me on the med for PTSD which is for blood pressure too, but I said I'm hesitant to go on that and I was talking about changing my antidepressants not starting that and changing it, but I see his point. And I said how depressed I'm feeling and he just said "mhm."
He also said I have a hasty view on things, meaning with Psychologists. I said well why would I want to see Psychologists who I've had traumatic experiences with again? If I saw one that was ok, I'd keep seeing them. But I can't even get in to see anybody and him and my GP don't seem to understand how hard I'm trying and I keep getting let down, it's like they don't believe me, they think it's so easy but it's not.
I saw a different GP who is my GPs "Buddy Doctor" meaning when my GP is away, his patients go to this GP. He was nice but he couldn't help me so I apologised for wasting his time and just said that the receptionists told me to see him.
My GP sent me a referral to the Surgeon to see if i need surgery for my Bunion, and then I got a letter saying it doesn't "fit the criteria", what's the criteria? Everything is so hard and just a joke up where I live. I don't fit in and it's depressing. The scenery where I walk and the Bird life and the peace and quiet is nice but that's about all, and there's some nice people but I haven't found many.
Anyway, thank you all for checking in and being kind to me, it means a lot. I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner and I'm sorry if I worried anybody.
Grandy - I don't have a Psychologist, thanks for your kind words and suggestions though, I appreciate it. I hope your appointment went well. You're lovely and supportive etc yourself.
Sophie - thanks for the suggestions and the comment and for saying I'm valued here. Means alot.
quirky - thank you for understanding quirky, I appreciate it. It means a lot. Nice to see you here also, thanks for checking in on my thread. You're a kind soul too.
Mark - thank you, I agree. You're a kind and lovely person too.
Ham - thanks, I'll check your thread. I hope everyone is ok.

I am sorry the doctor didn't work out for you.I am sorry the surgeon won't see you about your bunion. It sounds strange to me that they wouldn't even see you after getting a referral from your doctor.I thought a bunion would be a common problem and the doctor would be able to help you instead of all the run around you are getting.
We do care about you on here and have us always to talk to.
Take care,
Mark.

Hi Tay
Thanks for the update. I was wondering how things were for you. I honestly hope you find some answers in the near future. It sounds like you've beeng going through a lot. I feel for you too, like so many here do as well.
Navigating meds, psychology, psychiatry and the like can be exhausting. I find it so anyway. I hope you get a good match soon as well for where you at in life atm.

Hey all.
Mark - thank you, yes it is hard with medication, therapies and therapists. It can be frustrating. I asked my GP for a referral to the Podiatrist but he sent me there, to see if I needed surgery. They said they contacted him, I sent the letter over email to the clinic, hopefully I hear back. I think it's weird too. I asked my Psychiatrist if GPs in general should be helping with mental health and he said yes, but he said perhaps mine's run out of ideas. Possibly but he could still do more. Thanks, I care about you all and I'm here for you all too.
Ham - thanks, sorry if I worried you. Thanks for thinking of me. Yes it is exhausting.

Hey everyone, sorry for this silly question.
I was just wondering, if I weren't to see my GP and my Psychiatrist for a while (cancel appointments and/or not make one), if they'd be worried about me and try to contact me? I don't really feel like seeing any professional at the moment.
