It's been a while since I was on the forums, so I just wanted to make a post saying that I'm back. However, I'll try my best to limit my time, comments, etc on here.
I won't bother tagging anyone, and I'll try to keep this as my only open thread that I have created.
I've missed everyone I've spoken to on here, and I hope to talk to some new people. I have been using my offline supports - my Psychiatrist, GP, Parent support of course, and a Social Worker. I'm in the process of finding a Psychologist but I'm having no luck.
Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hello, and also I hope I haven't upset anyone on the forums or anything like that because nothing was intentional, so I deeply apologise.
An update on me, I recently turned 21, can't do much with COVID though, it's a hard year for everyone unfortunately.
I also have a milestone, an achievement, I've been seeing my Psychiatrist for a year which is the longest I've stayed with a therapist. And I also finally have a GP I feel comfortable with. I'm on different meds that seem to be working a little but I still of course have my moments, but these meds I've been on the longest for out of any of the ones I've tried.
Other than that, please don't feel pressured to comment anyone, although it would be nice to connect with some people, old or new, but like I said that's okay. I just wanted to check in.
If you've read this and made it this far, thank you. Stay safe and take care everyone, as much as possible with the unfortunate COVID circumstances.
Thinking of all the Beyond Blue Mods & Users. I've missed everyone.

It's so hard for me living here a lot of the time. We moved away in 2018 because of a few reasons, some of which may be too triggering to myself and/or others so I won't mention why. I miss my old house sometimes but that was also a toxic place, but I've grown up there. But other days I don't even think about it & it doesn't bother me. That was more of a suburban place, like everything was there basically, right near you. Not like the city city but yeah.
Now I live in a country town, not in the middle of nowhere or on a farm (I wish I had a farm at times though), the biggest town is 30 mins away & we go there a lot, & other smaller towns are nearby too. It's peaceful, nice bird life, nice walking tracks around the lake that I walk around daily, but that's about all.
There's nothing for me as in mental health stuff, places for me to meet people, work, anything at all. I've tried everything & I'm rejected, I don't even say I have mental illnesses, I just say I want to get out of the house & meet people & hopefully find something I enjoy (for example a mindfulness group, sewing, etc). This was even before COVID when I was rejected. I went to Headspace & had a very traumatic experience so I'm not going there again, or any centre.
Whenever I try to talk to people anywhere here no matter their age, I just get glared at & ignored. It's hard enough for me with my social phobia & I try to push myself which is extremely hard believe it or not, then I just get treated like crap. I try to be friendly & chat but I just get filthy looks & ignored, & then people probably say stuff about me. Yes some of that is paranoia but honestly.
It's so hard. I like it here but I also don't. Then if I move again (that's a lot to take into consideration, not just with COVID), I'd end up missing it here. I can't win.
I never see many young people & like I said, I get ignored & get funny looks anyway. Yes there are a couple of people who are nice enough & will chat even if it's just "hi", but still. I do try my hardest. I feel like I don't fit in because it's a town where everyone knows everyone & if you're new then most don't make you feel welcome, a few will but not many. 1 neighbour is rude & has parties a lot. Whenever I see people with friends no matter their age, I get all depressed, etc.
Idk, I only have a GP & Social Worker up here, no friends, no other help, nothing to do for me to get out of the house & meet people, etc. I've tried literally everything I can. It's impossible.

Hi Tayla I know what it like living in a small country town I currently do and have previouly. I moved from a big city to here.A completely different lifestyle and so far from any medical help for me and I hate going into the big town here and options are limited for medical treatment and mental health.I do like it here but miss be able to go just down the road to get medical help or just to get takeaway.I lived only metres from a creek that had such amazing plant and wildlife.I am surrounded by farms here. The only ones I talk to here are my neighbours if I see them.
Yok sound like a real lovely person and think you would make a great friend.
Tand care,
Mark.

I'm sorry you struggle with that also. I'm just struggling so much and I can't take it. I give up trying with myself
