Who else enjoys video games?

Hey everyone!

So I struggle a lot with depression, anxiety, and borderline personality disorder (BPD) and find it very difficult to sometimes 'switch my mind off' from all of the negative and aggressive, depressing thoughts.

One way I've found to distract myself is with video games, and I love them! Whilst they don't fix my problems, they help me escape my problems for a little while, and help me calm myself down. My favourite games are The Witcher 3, Fallout (3, New Vegas and 4) and the Assassins Creed series.

What are your favourite games for distracting yourself?

ive always wondered what it's like going to a gaming hub in a city, mind if I ask which city you're referring to? it's okay I'm not a stalker ☹️

and if not in sydney there is a fighting game community in almost every city, there are facebook and forum groups one can get more info

Currently playing through Skyrim on PS4. Had the original on the Xbox360, but never finished it, so I want to complete it this time. Also need to finish Assassin's Creed: Syndicate (on PS4 as well). Sometimes I will play a bit of Battlefield 1, it feels like an 'old school' FPS, so, even I can get a few kills now, although the multiplayer really feels like it is meant to be played as a team, like all modern FPS's, and I don't have any friends, even online, so, I find that a bit lonely.

My unplayed pile is pretty large at the moment. On PS4 I've still got to play Assassin's Creed: Unity, and Dishonored 2. On the XBox1 I'm still yet to play Farcry: Primal, Titanfall 2, CoD: Infinite Warfare, Forza Horizon 3, and Watchdogs 2.

Any1 else hate how Sony, Microsoft develop these exclusive games for like ps4 and X1, there's so many games coming this year id like to play, (the last of us part 2, unchartered 4, horizon zero dawn, days gone, etc.) but I've only ever had Xbox, which I guess has its own exclusives. Now I wonder if it's worth getting a ps4 as well they shouldn't be too expensive anymore, idk.

Love third person games, ghost remind wildlands, sniper elite 4, state of decay 2, red dead redemption 2... Not sure if these will suffice!

Third person, open world games...

question: Watchdogs 2, ability to customise character (clothing, ect), motorcycles? What game could the open world area compare to? (The division, gta5?)

I can definitely relate to the 'no friends to play this game with' thing Cucuboth. I used to be part of a Guild Wars clan, but only because my brother and I shared an account and it was his friend that invited us. Then we went on holiday without internet access, got kicked from the clan due to inactivity (even though I'd posted that we'd be away), and I barely played it again.

I'm absolute rubbish at FPS games and prefer playing them with only NPCs. I had Battlefield 1 back in the day when my computer would take 30 mins to open the damn game haha
