Hi mmMekitty & all friends,

Yes I did spend NYE with Little Miss but I just felt so lonley as it was the first one without my partner (ex). He did pop over in the afternoon & we spent nice time together but knowing he was at a friend's whil I was sort of alone made me sad.  When we wete together every NYE was at his house & his sis was there.  I would have liked a NYE elsewhere without his sis. Of course it happens now that we are not together. 

Oh well. I'm glad it's all over.

Sorry CMF I am sorry you were lonely.

NYE has been sad for me in last four years as it was went my house and shop was burnt in fires. I went/out to afriends place early but didn’t stay long. I am grateful for what I have and for my family.

I hear you louds and clear. Its a frustrating time of year for sure. As some people are out having fun and even though we have the strength to get on a national forum the isolation factor still exists...DOH!

I listen to gold 104 & watch 10 peach. I love Seinfeld,  Big Bang Theory, Friends. I enjoy watching over & over. I'm also watching Will & Grace on Stan.

I spent the afternoon in the garden.it was nice & ifeel better.

Glad you are feeling better. I totally get why you felt how you did last night. It brings up stuff unavoidably. I’m glad you had the nice afternoon in the garden.

 I watch those shows on 10 Peach too, often the same repeats I’ve seen before. I haven’t been as much into Seinfeld as BBT and Friends, but still watch from time to time. I also was watching Mom. Have you seen that one? I really like it. I think the people behind Big Bang Theory were involved in it too.

Having said all that, I haven’t watched much tv recently, but had those shows on so much before. It is like having familiar people you know in your living room when you’ve seen the shows a lot. It’s comforting somehow.

Sorry, rambling away here. Happy New Year to everyone and thank you Paul for proving this thread. May we all have a peaceful and happy 2024 🌟

Hey CMF ....... Great shows!!...I used to be a huge fan of Gold 104.3. They hired a Canadian programmer (for music selection in the 1990's) She did well yet...they kept playing Good Vibrations on high rotation. (in the 1990's then the 2000's....I had to defect and go to MMM lol (I have returned to GOLD 104.3 recently though)

I still love the Beach Boys though 🙂 For my leftover anxiety I listen to 3AW at nights sometimes. 

Yes! the garden can be a wonderful place to find peace. I find it therapeutic to clear the mind. We have showers forecast here in the southern suburbs. I love showers yet a top of 26 is going to be super humid.

I forgot this thread existed Country Music Festival! Thankyou heaps for bringing it back on online!

Oh thank you so much Paul 😊 It’s weird because I don’t always feel calm myself but other people even in real life will say I’m calming. I think it has a lot to do with the dynamics I grew up with. I probably find it calming trying to help others.

Having said that I am much calmer than I’ve been for a very long time due to correcting some hormonal issues which were playing an even bigger role than I realised with so many struggles I’ve been having. So I truly feel calm, peaceful and pretty together at the moment. I feel that 2024 is going to be a vast improvement on other years recently. It’s truly wonderful to be feeling better than I have for a long time.

You have a calming, kind and steady presence which I’m sure provides reassurance and support to so many people here.

Hey Eagle Ray - I read that people who suffer anxiety like to watch the same shows over and over because they know what's going to happen. I find no matter how many times I watch them I still laugh, especially Seinfeld.  I also love Home & Away & The Chaser. 

Paul - thanks for creating this thread. I needed something & knew I'd find it. Remember those NYE parties we had in the BB Cafe years ago? They got me through some tough ones.
