I was going to say that mine would be all the opportunities i have been given to develop in different aspects on my life, sport, work, relationships but that is pretty general.

I decided one good thing, and I'm turning a negative into a positive here, was working out that things weren't all ok for me, recognising i needed help and getting all the great support from the people here and my family to manage things better.

Its dead silent here in the suburbs south east of Melb....I feel like I am in a library! I might need an audiogram though...lol

Hi Everyone,

It is now almost 1.00 a.m. here in S.A. Just logged on to say a big HI to everyone posting here. Our friends have headed off home, we had a lovely night. The neighbours didn't show up so guess they had a better offer!

For those of you who have struggled through tonight, I really do hope that sharing here has helped you not feel so alone.

I have just been outside to look at the moon, we have a clear sky here, so can see the moon beautifully!

Thanks for your kind words. Like so many people here I have been on the brink of thinking death is preferable to life more times than I care to remember. Many people here have helped and supported me.

If in some small way, my words are of value to someone else I will be happy. If I can add a little sense of hope, a bit of light at the end of a dark twisted tunnel, than I will feel like I have a purpose in this life after all.

The best thing about this forum is all of the people that gather here to make this a very special community.

WE DID IT! We got through Christmas and new Year. We survived the 'festive' season yet again. Let's give ourselves a pat on the back. I for one am so grateful that i got to share it with you all of you. When I was alone I wasn't really alone. When I was down i had people to lean on, when I wa happy I had people to share it with.

Good morning and, since I left the party before the New Year kicked in, a very Happy New Year to all of you. Thanks for your welcomes and your encouragement last night btw. It helps.

I hear there's a New Year's BBQ happening here today. Lunch time I presume? For as long as I can remember, my partner and I (and usually some of his friends) have taken a drive and gone to a local pub or restaurant for a New Year's lunch outing. Nothing fancy, just a chance to get out. Unfortunately it wont be happening this year though, as he isnt feeling up to it.

Anyway if there is a BBQ, I'd like to be here for it too. I'll be happy to bring some fresh corn on the cob, straight out of my garden. Plenty to go around, prelific crop this year. And also a brown rice salad I make on such occasions. Its really nice, I promise. I regularly have people ask for the recipe.

sorry I dropped off last night I was distracted by reading and my seething rage at my friends.

They have been told that they behaved poorly.. and next time they need help to seek that in the relevant areas such as lawyers, relovalists, psychs etc.
