It's been along time since I posted on here. I've been doing well for a couple years but due to new health problems my GP swapped my meds . The new meds aren't working at all, I've been to the gp 3 times this week and to ED, I've also rung the health direct number, all anyone want to do is bandaid fix or they don't know how to help me.
im supposed to be getting a call from mental health from the hospital. Dear god I pray that the ring me, I can't go through this again and still work full time.
im so burnt out from having invasive surgery and just soldering on by myself. I wish I had taken more time out to recover instead of just going back to work straight away. I haven't been the same since I had my operation, and I think all the pressure from dealing with the surgery has come back to bite me.
thank you for listening xx

Hi there nuggsie
Thank you so much for coming here and sharing your post.
Your situation sounds very dire at the moment – please if you are continuing on this path at the moment, please try to ring the Beyond Blue hotline number (1300 22 4636) or the Lifeline number (13 1114). If you’re feeling really bad, then you’ll receive helpful advice and support at a time when you really need it.
Would it be possible to somehow arrange to get a little more leave just so you can try to get yourself settled a bit better for returning back to work again?
I also hope that your GP is being helpful and supportive to you – and if they current meds aren’t working, then a review of them would be an option. Having said that, if you’ve only just gone on to them, they do have about a 4-week period before they really being to commence working.
I do hope you can post again.
Neil

Hi Neil,
thank you for responding to my post 🙂 I am doing a lot better now.
i just needed to speak to people who understand me. This forum has always been so supportive.
I did have someone from mental health call me and they sorted out getting a psychiatrist to ring my GP and sort out a plan for me. I feel so releaved that they sorted something out for me, I alreayd feel better knowing that I have a good plan in place and that I found doctors who could help me.
i also have an appointment in about 12 days to see the psychiatrist .

dear Nuggsie, 12 days can be a long time but getting back to your surgery, we always tend to believe the impossible and push ourselves into thinking we would be OK by going back to work, but it falls apart in more ways than one.
I know exactly how you feel having these surgery's because it's going to happen with me early next year after 3 attempts, so isn't it 3rd time lucky, not with mine, however I hope that you can post back to us within this next 12 days, because there are people who understand your circumstances. Geoff.
