Hi,
Welcome to the BB. I have found it very useful since I first joined last year sharing my own challenges and reading other peoples stories and the support that is offered. I hope it is helpful for you as well.
I do not believe you were born to be anxious and depressed. There are many things that can lead to someone being depressed. If you do suffer from anxiety, as some of my family members do, your anxiety being triggered all the time can lead to depression. I do not consider my family members to be 'crazy'.
Do you want to share some more of your story? Maybe it would help more people to respond.
Please try to have some hope?
Grateful.

I have suffered from depression for 40 years myself and often felt the same -"I must have been born to feel down and sad all the time!" Just like yourself, but please try to have hope "yes I know it's hard!"
One of the first steps is to perhaps see a good pshyc and by the way - you have already taken the first step-"by posting here where others have been down there!" You WILL get better in time!
Best regards
