Hello Icecream

How are you today? There's not a lot I can say to you about your post as it is minimal. Can talk about yourself a little and perhaps explain what troubles you.

I will look for your reply.

Hi Ice-cream,

I can relate - when I have depression, I am tired and sad a lot of the time too for no reason. Thanks for reaching out to us!

Try getting more sleep and let your body repair itself mentally and physically. Sometimes our bodies want more sleep, even if we don't it. Depression is exhausting so more sleep doesn't hurt.

In battling depression, perhaps see a pyschologist and see what is best for you.

I hope things get better... We look forward in hearing your updates! ❤️

thanks for the advice

Hello Icecream

I replied to your second post but I think I posted while your thread was being moved to this (Young People) forum and it got lost.

It's unfortunate that depression makes us sad and also very tired. It's called the black dog and that wretched animal insists on pushing in where it's not wanted. When you are tired it's a good idea to go for a walk. Sounds silly doesn't it? What walking, and exercise in general, does is to release some endorphins which make you feel better and less tired. Not suggesting a marathon but a 20-30 minute is good. Or any other exercise.

Can you look under The Facts at the top of the page. The links there will take to information about depression. You can download the fact sheets to your own computer. If any of the booklets sounds interesting you can order them from BB free of charge.

Love to know a little about you if I can. School? Work? Hobbies? Family?

Mary

Hi Icecream,

I'm curious about the picture yo have chosen as your avatar. Would you like to explain if it represents something to you?

You sound like you are very depressed at the moment, can you share more how your depression makes you feel?

Are there activities in the past that you have enjoyed that you might be able to try to do again?

Are you receiving any help to deal with your depression?

I've asked a few questions! If you don't feel like answering them, that is okay. I know when I am depressed up I either yell and scream and become very angry or I want to shut myself away from the world.

Hope you feel comfortable enough to share more about how you are feeling so we may be able to help you more.

Cheers for now from Dools

the picture is my favourite singers because they make me happy

Yes I am suffering from depression i am trying to get people to help me

Hello Icecream

It's good you are trying to get help. What sort of help are you looking at? School counsellors? Seeing your GP and getting a referral to a psychologist? Talking to friends? All good options.

Please continue to post here and perhaps talk about the activities you enjoy.

Mary

Hi Icecream,

You mentioned you are trying to get people to help you, are you having some trouble getting people to understand how you are feeling?

Mary has asked where you are trying to source help from. We may be able to make some other suggestions to you that might be beneficial if we know what you have already tried.

Having music and songs as a way of feeling better about ourselves and life is beneficial.

Is there a certain song you really relate to? Some artists have a wonderful way with words.

How has your day been today?

Cheers to you from Dools
