Does anyone else have problems when they are on a manic high? I don't feel depressed or anything like that. I'm just unsure what I'll end up doing when I'm on a high. I got into very serious trouble in a manic high a couple of years ago. I decided to start a police chase which resulted in me crashing and being arrested.

Hi 1234567, welcome here to beyond blue forums
As I have suffered mania most of my life before diagnosis, I can say there are issues not clear to you yet, that will effect your life.
Firstly like ADHD people, you can easily trip up, have accidents or cause them much easier than those without it. You'll also over work at a workplace causing rifts with those working at average pace.
If I describe it like this. Say you are working on a car and you have mania. You are excited that you are going to replace the exhaust system. You are going at around double average pace. The guy at average pace has time to think about all the necessary steps. You however begin to sweat badly while under the car. You see the jack slowly tilt and you realise you forgot to support the car with the stands. You get out just in time (this time) and you sit for a while in shock.
Such is the importance of medical assessment and subsequent medication/therapy. Over time you'll take your meds as part of your daily routine and think its no big deal...but really necessary.
