So recently, I've felt very tired, physically. Like I can't be bothered to do anything anymore and I'm struggling to focus in my classes. It hasn't affected my grades but it has been worrying me. On top of that, I always feel so restless and I always struggle to fall asleep. Recently, I've been having trouble sleeping properly and not being able to doze off, which is making me more tired.
I don't know if anyone else experiences this or is struggling through this. I'm also half-way through my high-school journey so maybe thats why. Also this is my first time using this website to talk.

Hi, welcome
Thankyou for writing in. Tiredness is well known on this forum as a serious issue as it can effect moods and temperament. That doesnt sound serious but it is.
Some people like myself 14 years ago had to do a sleep study that confirmed I have sleep Apnoea which is - while asleep you stop breathing for a period of time. The study, an over night stay in hospital give a result over many hours and it was found I was moderately effected that resulted in me using an air pump on a mask that prevented me stopping breathing.
It often occurs with over weight people. Anyway, in your case a few things could be possible-
- Worry. Worrying about school, grades, exams, friends tensions etc all could be playing in your mind especially in an over active mind. A very over active mind could mean a medical condition like ADHD or anxiety so you are advised to see your doctor for a check up.
- Lack of a routine when going to bed. It took me many years to learn how best to fall asleep (for me). Watching Youtube for 30 minutes or more until my eyes begin to drop then rolling onto my stomach sends me off to sleep every time. Find out your routine. A tip- if you dont fall asleep within 20 minutes, get up and do something for 30 minutes then try again. If you lie there dwelling over a problem you might not fall asleep for hours.
- Eating before bed can stimulate your senses. Best to not eat for 2 hours before bedtime
- Relaxation. Listen to youtube sites that can help. eg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhrtbBrMQ1Y
I hope I've helped.
