Dropping out of school doesnt make you stupid! Don't be so hard on yourself.. would you like to do something with your time? There are plenty of jobs out there brother or hobbies! Have you thought about speaking to someone about how you feel?

I don't know if my post will appear???? It went off somewhere to another section?? Ha ha! Bet you are a whole heap better at technology than me! :) I'm assuming it will appear. So finally, don't ever call yourself or think of yourself as stupid!! You aren't. You had your reasons for leaving school. It's all good. Now's maybe the time to think of your options and where to go from here?  Cheers Suz 🙂

dear DaenOwen, personally I feel that you have to tackle any depression issues that you have at the moment, because by wanting to sleep all day means that there is something wrong with you, and by saying this it's this illness which creates all of this.

Sure you can look for work and maybe get a job, but I don't feel as though you would last long, and I'm not saying this to criticise you at all, it's just that you are depressed.

Have you been to see your doctor yet. Geoff.

Hi DaenOwens96,

I agree with everyone else's comments, don't say you're stupid because you're not. I had years of growing up with a sibling who said that to me & to this day (I'm now 31) I still have moments where I think about it. I know I'm not but it can affect you greatly.

What are you into? What do you like doing when you feel happy & have the energy to do something? Are you creative? Do you like making things with your hands? Have you looked into TAFE & maybe starting an apprenticeship/traineeship? I have a cousin who didn't do so well at school & struggled with it but was brilliant at making things with his hands. He pulled out of school but went to TAFE & is absolutely loving it!

I wish you all the best in your search for work or volunteering somewhere. Once you find what you want, you will succeed in every form!

DaenOwens96. Take one step at a time. i cannot stress that enough. i know how you feel. the lack of motivation is one shared by many people in many different forms. don't be scared to ask for help if you need it. try lots of things, be a hobby hopper, do everything for a week or even less, see what makes you spark.

I know everything seems like crap at times, but working actually makes me feel better. i am earning my own money and seeing other people happy in turn makes me happy. i'm not going to write it'll all be alright because sometimes it isn't going to be for a fair while. life is hard, we make mistakes. me, for example, am meant to be studying for my HSC mid-course exam, but i felt crap so i came here to tell and support others like i cannot support myself.
